Windrose was released in Early Access on PC on Apr 14th, 2026. The game looks to combine the pirate life as rendered so successfully in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag (& the remake); with the survival and base-building mechanics of a game like Valheim. Judging by the active player count milestone of 200k+ peak active player count on Steam, and the 85%+ score after 51k reviews, the developers look to have got the gameplay elements from these genres mixed and balanced quite well.
