Where to Find and Use the Decorative Spyglass
Before Windrose launched in Early Access, I got to try out the demo of the game to learn more about the game’s mechanics. It was also during the demo that I received a notification of a special Spyglass added to my decorations, but it also mentioned that I can’t use the Spyglass here yet. Rather, I had to wait for the Early Access to come out before I could use it.
If you still haven’t gotten your free Decorative Spyglass yet, all you need to do is log in to the demo version of Windrose and complete the game. Then, launch the Early Access version and head over to the Build menu to find the Spyglass SNF for crafting under Decorations. To craft the Spyglass SNF, you will require the following materials:
- Wood x5
- Copper Ingot x1
After placing the decorative Spyglass at your base, you need to move it closer to the bonfire to gain its benefits. The Spyglass is purely cosmetic and offers +1 Comfort for your base. If you add this alongside your other decorations, then you can substantially increase the comfort level of your base. This will improve your character’s health and stamina, allowing you to take more damage and progress through the game at a faster rate.
How to Get the Spyglass Without Playing the Demo
If you haven’t played the demo and decided to jump directly into the Early Access version, then fret not. You will still get the Spyglass added to your Decorations list in the Build menu. While checking the Build menu’s Decoration tab, scroll down to find just a regular Spyglass added to the list. The building requirements and use remain the same as the Spyglass SNF, so craft away and add it to your base.
