Windrose – How to Fast Travel

    By Kirthana KFebruary 20, 2026Updated:February 20, 20263 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • You need to build fast travel points using a Fast Travel Bell and Lumber.
    • Once built, you need to place the fast travel point right at the edge of the shoreline, near the water.
    • Placing two fast travel points will allow you to travel between two different places.

Once you start your journey via sea in Windrose, you will find it tiresome to travel back and forth across the map. That’s where installing fast travel points comes in, but you need to craft the required items to get them. After that, you need to find the right placement to make the fast travel point work.

How to Get a Fast Travel Point

As you progress through the early stages of the game, you will unlock the Fast Travel Point blueprint in your crafting menu. You will require two items to craft a fast travel point: 1x Fast Travel Bell and 20x Lumber. Lumber is obtained by chopping down trees or by salvaging wrecks and shipwrecks.

As for Fast Travel Bells, you get them by taking 10x copper ingots and 3x rope to the workbench. You will also find Fast Travel Bells randomly during exploration. Whichever method you take, once you have the required materials, select the Fast Travel Point from Building > Crafting and Utilities.

How to Use the Fast Travel Point

Once you have the Fast Travel Point selected, walk close to the shoreline and place it on the water. It needs to stay on the shallow end of the water and not on the deeper side. After that, interact with it to get the fast travel menu, where you get to select your destination. This option will not appear if you have placed just one fast travel point, so you are required to build another one to use this function.

    FAQs

How many fast travel points can I build?

There is no limit to the number of fast travel points you can build, as long as you have the required materials for crafting them.

I get an error while placing my fast travel point. What do I do?

You need to make sure that you are placing the fast travel point on the water close to the shoreline. Placing the fast travel point on land or on the deep end of the water will not work.

Does my base automatically turn into a fast travel point without the required structure?

No, you need to have a fast travel point built near your base to use this as your destination.
