Key Points
- The Neo DLC includes new storylines for new characters, including Yamcha.
- After Yamcha’s revival, he will be tasked with taking down the androids.
- This will lead to one of the What If scenarios of Yamcha destroying Android 19 and 20.
Most of the storylines in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s new DLC do overlap with other characters. While completing Tien’s storyline, you will encounter a bit of a crossover with Yamcha’s story too. By selecting Yamcha in the character roster, you will get a better indication of what transpired after Yamcha’s death.

Yamcha Story Mode

After selecting Yamcha from the character selection menu, the story will start off with Tien and Yamcha preparing themselves for the onslaught of powerful Saiyans who plan to take over Earth. Before the year is over, Nappa and Vegeta pay a visit and bring along several Saibamen for the fight.
Tien takes over the first round against one of the Saibamen and quickly defeats it. This will bring up the fight with Yamcha against the second Saibamen next. During the fight, the Saibamen plays dead, and Yamcha goes towards it to investigate. After spotting a clear opening, the Saibamen latches onto Yamcha and blows up, effectively killing them both in the process.
Android/Cell Arc

This is the next part of the storyline for Yamcha. After a while, he gets revived with the help of the Dragon Balls from Planet Namek. All was going well until Future Trunks visits him and informs him about the androids who will drop onto Earth within the next three years. Yamcha and the others begin training immediately and wait at the city once the three years are up.
Two androids appear just in time within the city, and Yamcha and the other split up to find them. A nearby scream leads Yamcha towards a witness who tells him about the two strange androids. While Yamcha doesn’t spot them immediately, they do appear behind him. Yamcha immediately recognizes the Red Ribbon symbol on one of the hats they were wearing, which starts the fight against Android 20.
Yamcha vs. Android 20

The fight will be extremely hard since Android 20 is quite fast. I recommend staying put and powering up to unleash Spirit Ball for the fight. Follow that up with combo moves and unleash Spirit Ball once more. Continue to do this one more time to bring Android 20 down.
Yamcha vs. Android 19

Android 20 wasn’t alone, as he was accompanied by Android 19, who was silently watching all this time. Yamcha will face off against Android 19 next, who might look slow at the start. But Android 19 has high defense, making it hard to penetrate and land attacks. Plus, as Yamcha observed from the Android 20 fight, their palms have the ability to siphon energy whenever they strangle him.
The fighting pattern is similar to Android 20, so keep your distance and power up to unleash Yamcha’s Spirit Ball. Continue landing combos and follow it up with Spirit Ball until Android 19 is down too. In case the fight is too hard, I found going head-first with combos to stun Android 19 bought me some time to power up.
Completing the Buy More Time Story

Vegeta, Goku, and the others will arrive just in time while Android 20 tries to escape. Since they were already weakened, the team could easily defeat both androids. Luckily, this story does have a happy ending, even as Future Trunks informs them that these are not the androids they should be going after.
Yamcha and team decide to wait for the actual androids to arrive, but they never do. A year goes by peacefully, and because of the implication of defeating Androids 19 and 20, none of the other androids show up on Earth ever. This also prevents the Cell Games from taking place.
