Icthlarin’s Little Helper Quest Guide
After unlocking the new Umbral Sands region, follow along the main story quest until you find the blacksmith, the merchant, and the butcher at the Alcarrid camp. To unlock the new carpet mount, you need to speak to the above NPCs and complete their quests to gain their trust.
You will find Domri, the merchant, just north-west of Icthlarin and the elder, while Valas, the blacksmith, is found directly south of them. Lagra the butcher is found southwest of the elder. You need to complete all of their quests, so speak to any one of them to start.
How to Complete the Rogue Trader Quest
Before starting this quest, I recommend crafting a Mithril or Adamant Pickaxe first. Then, speak to Domri the merchant to start his quest, where you need to find three Moonstones for him. It’s easier said than done, since Moonstone is a very rare resource that only drops in a specific area. The merchant does give you a hint to visit the western section of the map, where the Gypsum nodes are.
Head west of the camp to find a cave entrance. Enter it to find a few Gypsum, then break it down with the pickaxe. There are a handful of Gypsum nodes outside the cave as well, so check those areas out too. After mining Gypsum, there is a random chance to obtain Moonstone. Collect 3x Moonstone and return to Domri to complete his quest.
How to Complete The Mirror Crack’d Quest
Just like Domri’s quest, you need to get something for Valas the blacksmith, too. He will require 3x Adamant Bars, which is quite easy to do. Valas will tell you to search around Alcarrid Oasis to find adamant ore nodes. You need to mine 9 of them to create 3x Adamant Bars. Add the ores along with some coal in the Blast Furnace to create the bars, then return to Valas to hand them in.
How to Complete Rag and Bone Garou Quest
I found this task to be personally challenging, as you need to retrieve three items for Lagra the butcher. You need to find the following items:
- 3x Raw Farm Meat
- 3x Kalphite Shell Fragments
- 3x Cactus Steaks
If you have all the above ingredients, you can directly return to Lagra and turn them in. Otherwise, you need to kill some Kalphites, goats, and bunny cactuses to gather the above materials. You will find all of these creatures randomly while exploring the desert. You might need an Adamant or better axe to cut down bunny cactuses to farm cactus steaks. Hand over all the items to Lagra to complete the quest.
How to Get the Carpet Mount
Return to Ancamairon after completing all three quests, and he will give you a Mirror Lens. Along with that, you will get the Carpet mount. To equip your new mount, open up your spell book and head over to the Mounts section. Select the carpet from the list and press the Equip button. You can now press the Alt key to summon your mount anytime.

No, the mounts in the game do not give any bonus stats and are used mainly for transportation.

Finding the above resources depends on RNG, and if you can’t find any at that point in time, then revisit the locations another day to find them respawned.
