Gothic 1 Remake offers hidden treasures inside chests scattered across the map. By entering Gomez’s room, you can pick up a new amulet and a new armor set to use for the late game.

Entering Gomez’s Room Hack
Earlier, you could enter Gomez’s room after either killing him or painstakingly lockpicking his door. But there is another easier way to get inside. I found out that I could slip inside Gomez’s room using two methods. I could either follow one of Gomez’s servants or follow Gomez himself and slip past them and enter the room.
First, you need to have the Old Camp castle unlocked so you get free access. Then, decide whether you want to follow the servant or Gomez. If you plan on following the servant route, make your way inside during the daytime. Otherwise, wait for midnight to find Gomez about to enter his room upstairs.
Following Velaya
Velaya is the only other person who is allowed to enter Gomez’s room. From the main castle entrance, go left and enter the throne room. You will find Gomez seated at the throne, surrounded by Velaya and Serafna. Wait for Velaya to complete her duty and make her way back to her and Gomez’s room.
Follow her upstairs and slip past her as she opens the door to the room. You need to be quick here, as the door could shut before you can go through it. Try to block Velaya from entering the room by stepping forward as quickly as possible. Once you are inside, you can check out the room to find Gomez’s chests.
But one of the chests will require a key, which is found on Gomez himself. If you don’t want to kill him, then you need to follow Gomez into his room instead.
Following Gomez
Wait until midnight and keep checking the throne room and the upstairs to check whether Gomez is retiring for the night. He will make his way to his room, so follow him and roll through the open doorway as soon as he opens it. Then, immediately turn around and use the Sleep spell on him, or he will turn hostile.
After that, hit him with your weapon of choice to knock him out and steal the chest key. Use the key to unlock the chest beside the bed. You can take all the items inside and use the same doorway to exit out of there.
Lockpicking Gomez’s Chest
There is another chest at the foot of the bed that requires the lockpick skill. The solution below works if you are at lockpick level 0.

If you don’t find the Velaya or Serafia next to Gomez, or can’t find Gomez on his throne, come back the next day and check the throne room to find them.
