All Choices to Heal the Old Ferryman

During Chapter 7 – Memories Lingering Still, you will take over the form of Madael as you explore her past memories. In those, you have to walk around and heal everyone who has been infected by Soulrift. This part proved a lot harder to do, as the more I tried to help others, the more difficult it became for me to continue on.
Healing others drained some of my strength in the process, and the healing minigame became a lot harder. Eventually, at the end of the area, I met the Old Ferryman. He begged not to heal him, and that’s when I was presented with three unique choices.
Keep Healing
Madael will call you arrogant, and Nikki will reason with her that she was just as persistent in trying to heal her people. Madael will warn Nikki that her path will lead to despair later on.
Give Up Healing
Madael will consider this choice as unexpected, but part of the real-world choices. Nikki will concur that she can’t put her beliefs on others and respects their choice to move on from the pain.
Refuse to Answer
Nikki’s silence on the matter will make Madael believe that Nikki’s afraid of the consequences of her actions. Nikki will refute and tell her that she has no right to make choices for others.
Right Choice
There are no right or wrong choices here, as all choices will lead to the same outcome of not saving the Old Ferryman. This will continue the rest of the questline, and there are no consequences in the future either. Picking either of the options will give you a glimpse of what Madael went through to save her people and the choices she had to make along the way.
