Severed Hand serves as the first item of a larger easter egg puzzle. Once you have acquired it, it’s all about using it at the right place and then heading over to another specific place to see the easter egg.
Finding and Using the Severed Hand
Severed Hand Location: You will find the hand next to the bloodied Elevator after rescuing Emily from the Care Center Basement.
After picking up the Severed Hand, drop Emily on the couch in the Guard Office or save room, near the Central Hall.
- Then make your way to the Blood Lab and interact with the Blood Analyzer or laser microscope. The same Blood Analyzer we used to complete the Blood Specimen Reversible Analyzer Puzzle.
- After interacting with the machine, from the item box, select the Severed Hand. The atom puzzle will begin
Puzzle Description: We just have to turn the cube atoms into red cubes. We only have three chances to turn all of them red.
- First: Interact with the atom cube on the far left.
- Second: Interact with the atom cube in the middle.
- Third: Interact with the atom cube on the far right.
The puzzle will then be completed with cryptic letters appearing at the bottom of the screen.

Once you know the code, make your way to the Lead Researcher’s Office on the second floor of the Care Center. Here, interact with the machine under the locker next to the desk to start the easter egg.
