Burglin’ Gnomes – Hiding Spots Overview
| Best places | Inside cabinets and under furniture |
| Best tactic | While hidden, continue to use stealth to move out of the room |
How to Hide Efficiently
While hiding isn’t the best way to evade all the enemies roaming inside the house, sometimes, this might seem like the only solution. If you are stuck in certain areas of the house, then you need to find out where you can stay hidden and wait for the Old Man or other enemies to walk away.
Kitchen Hiding Spots

If you are in the kitchen, I could get past the Old Man’s gaze if I hid inside the cabinets or microwave for a while. If you are on top of the kitchen counter, then make your way to the nearest window and get out of the house before the Old Man grabs you. If you can’t get to the window on time, then open a drawer below you and jump right in. There is a slight chance that the Old Man wouldn’t have noticed you here.
Bathroom Hiding Spots
In case you get cornered in the bathroom, you could hide inside the bathroom sink’s cabinet. Other places to hide include inside the toilet or under the bathtub, but you have to crouch and wait much longer if you wish to hide under the tub. It is best to find a window here and get out or book it out of the bathroom when the Old Man isn’t looking.
Bedroom and Kids Room Hiding Spots

When it comes to the bedroom, there is no better hiding place than under the bed and behind the cabinets. Just make sure there are no spiders hiding in the corners, as they will grab onto you and won’t let go. This will make you a sitting duck in this case, so if you choose to hide behind the cabinet, make sure you are on the move at the same time. While under the bed, you can stay hidden for much longer and wait until the Old Man can’t be seen in the room.
Living Room Hiding Spots
The best place to hide here is under the couch and the bookshelf, as there aren’t a lot of hiding spots around this area. If you have the time, then you could also pull out the TV cabinet doors and get inside here for a while. But you will have a better chance of making a run for it if you hide under the bookshelf and the couch.
If all else fails, your best bet is to run through open doors or climb up towards a window and make your way outside. You need to book it out of there if the Old Man has a gun, so keep moving even while hidden to get out of there.
