Transferring Pokémon to Bubbly Basin

I found the easiest way to make Pokémon follow you down to Bubbly Basin is to give them a diving mask. First, you need to unlock the Dive skill yourself, which you should have learnt to access the Bubbly Basin area. The next step is to speak to the Pokémon residing on land and explain how you can teach them to dive underwater too. This will place a bubble over the Pokémon’s head, and you can ask them to follow you into the water.
For now, you can add them to your home in Bubbly Basin if you need to use their skill underwater. You can then transfer them back on land after the work is completed. But if you wish to add the Pokémon to your Bubbly Basin home permanently, then you need to follow some extra steps.
- First, you need to use the suction skill to inhale all the water inside your Bubbly Basin home.
- Close the door and start inhaling everything. During the process, you might inhale all your furniture items too.
- If your home is built too high, then use building blocks to get up and inhale all the water there too.
- Replace the home base flag after clearing out the entire area. There should be no water inside your home at this point.
- The final step is to visit any region and ask a Pokémon to follow you. Select the Bubbly Basin from your Pokedex to have both of you transferred here.
- You can now interact with the Pokémon inside your home anytime, and you can set them here permanently.
Why Shift Pokémon Underwater
Changing Pokémon location to Bubbly Basin is purely cosmetic, unless you have specifically called Pokémon whose skills you can make use of. This is a great way to test out which Pokémon can follow you underwater while also keeping your favorite Pokémon close to you.
