There are a few NPCs you might need to take care of in Gothic 1 Remake. If you had picked up Syra’s quest, then you need to fight a tough fighter called Bullit and take him down. But the fight isn’t an easy one, so you need to find a better way to deal with him.

Bully For Bullit Quest Guide
You get to pick up this quest quite early, after unlocking the Old Camp castle. You will unlock the castle after completing the Casting Shadows main story quest in Chapter 1. After that, I recommend completing two side quests at once, which are the Bully for Bullit and Double, Double side quests. Let’s start off by finding Snaf in Old Camp after starting Chapter 2.
Snaf will be roaming around Old Camp, so walk around to find him. Speak to him, and he will tell you about the castle cook called Syra who makes an insane stew. This will start the Double, Double quest, which requires you to get into the castle’s kitchen and get the stew recipe from her.
To find the kitchen, enter the front entrance to the castle and go right. You will find Syra sitting on the bench at the end of the passage, or inside the kitchen to your right. Speak to her, and she will tell you that she is being bullied by a Warder named Bullit, and she will ask you to take care of him.
Best Way to Ambush Bullit
After agreeing to fight Bullit for Syra, wait for nightfall and make your way to the marked location above in Old Camp. Wait around for Bullit to walk by and talk to him. During my run, I found Bullit appear within this area close to midnight. If there are any guards nearby, wait for them to leave the area before cornering Bullit.
Confront him about his unapproving antics with women, then challenge him to a duel. But don’t fight him headfirst, since he is a pretty strong fighter. Rather, make your way up the stairs of the shack next to you and have Bullit follow you. You need to go a bit slower so he can catch up. Go through the room until you find another flight of stairs going up.
Go up the first flight of stairs and quickly climb onto the baskets to your right. From there, turn around and start using ranged weapons, like a bow and arrow, at Bullit. I recommend aiming for the head, as this will bring him down much faster. Once he is knocked down, loot his body and speak to him, then return to Syra.
How to Complete the Double, Double Quest
After seeking out Syra, ask her to hand over the recipe; she will. Then return to Snaf and hand over the recipe. He will then list out some ingredients for you to get, which are quite easy to do since you might already have them. You will need carrots, beer, raw meat, cavern dewleaves, and mistcap mushrooms.
If you don’t have the last two items yet, Snaf does tell you where to look for them. I would suggest checking out the Abandoned Mine to find them. These two items are also found inside other smaller caves near riverbeds.
As for the other ingredients, Dexter sells carrots and beer at the Old Camp marketplace, and raw meat is found while hunting animals. Hand over all the ingredients to Snaf to complete this quest as well.

Are there other ways to deal with Bullit?
You could sneak up behind him and knock him down, but he will still get up for a fight anyway, so it is best to enter the shack as mentioned above and attack him while out of reach.
What loot can I find on Bullit?
You can get the following items from Bullit after beating him:

- 1x Light Crossbow
- 1x Torch
- 17x Bolt
- 1x Cheese
- 1x Apple
You can also claim +500 XP and Syra’s Recipe after completing Syra’s quest.
I can’t find Syra after defeating Bullit. What do I do?
Syra will only appear during the daytime, so wait until the next day if you are awake at night to find Syra in the castle kitchen.
I have angered some of the guards while waiting for Bullit. What do I do?
If the guards have spotted you while waiting for Bullit, then sleep it off and try to find Bullit the next day.
Bullit doesn’t appear for me, what do I do?
In case you had defeated Bullit before this quest, then he won’t reappear. You can directly visit Syra and collect the recipe from her.
