How to Get the Final Ember Joker
Although it is not necessary, but before you begin your quest in Redwood, I would suggest setting your difficulty level to normal or higher. The reason for this is that you will require enemy souls as part of one of the quest objectives, and if it is done in easy mode, there is a chance that you would have defeated all the enemies before the quest would even begin.
I also recommend picking up the Destroy a Cryptic Totem mission if you get it in the region so it’s easier to navigate the quest’s objectives. If you don’t have the mission objective on the map, then continue towards the marked location included on the map above.
Start the run and make your way to the center of the map to find a strange cauldron. Nothing’s going to happen if you interact with it initially, since you need an item to be tossed into the cauldron to make it work. The item in question is the corpse next to the lantern beside the cauldron. Interact with the body to pick it up, then interact with the cauldron to trigger the next sequence of events.
Completing Pumpkin Jack’s Quest
After summoning Pumpkin Jack, he will request that you find 4 things to add to the cauldron. He will give you hints on where to look for these items while talking about them, so pay attention to each segment of requirements during his speech.
Mysterious Crow
Make your way just east of the red marker for the Destroy a Cryptic Totem quest to find a crow statue. If you haven’t picked this mission before your run, check out the map location above. Once you find the crow statue, go around the statue six times. Each time you complete a circle, the statue will glow brighter and bob up and down while making a unique sound. Do this six times to dispel the statue’s base, revealing a wooden crow on the floor. Pick it up and drop it in Pumpkin Jack’s cauldron to complete the first task.
Mysterious Pumpkin
The second location you need to go is south of the blue tower icon in the northern part of the map. Look around this area to find a large pumpkin within the pumpkin field. You need to punch the pumpkin with your fists to reduce its size, after which you can pick up the mysterious pumpkin and toss it in the cauldron.
Mysterious Soul
By now, you will find marked locations that say Mysterious Soul all around you. Head over to any of these places and defeat the enemies that spawn here. After their defeat, you can claim the mysterious soul to add to the cauldron.
Mysterious Cave
South of the green icon on the map is a cave with several lit lanterns inside. Head through the cave entrance and pick up one of the smaller lanterns on your right. You need to use this to snuff out the light from all the other bigger lanterns inside the cave. You can start with the lantern right outside the cave entrance. Interact with it using the small lantern you picked up and turn it off. Continue deeper into the cave and turn off all the lanterns. In turn, you will notice your own lantern get brighter. After the last lantern has been put out, return to the cauldron and interact with it to add the light into it.
Getting the Amulet of Final Ember Joker
As the final step of the quest, you need to interact with the cauldron as instructed by Pumpkin Jack to sell your soul. You will find your SP bar drastically reduced to nothing, which will power him up in return. He will then summon a portal and walk through it, and after he is gone, you will find the Final Ember joker on top of the cauldron. Pick it up to add it to your collection and gain the special powers of the card.

The Final Ember joker has the following stats: While at or below 20% HP, your hits are electrified. It has a max stack of 1, gives 250 souls when sold, and holds 30 charges. It can be recharged at the cauldron anytime.
Will each player get their own Final Ember in multiplayer?
Yes, all players will get their own Final Ember to be used individually if playing in multiplayer mode. Do remember that if you leave the match, the Final Ember amulet will be gone, and you need to redo the quest to get it.
What happens if I try to go through Pumpkin Jack’s portal?
The portal won’t work on you, and if you try going through it, you will just come out the other side.
