Crimson Desert: How to Move The Greymanes Camp to Pailune

    By Kirthana KApril 24, 2026Updated:July 29, 20264 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • Moving the camp to Pailune would be your ultimate end goal after completing the game.
    • The process to move only unlocks after completing several main and faction quests.
    • Shifting camp can provide a few benefits.

Once you are done unlocking and exploring every aspect of Crimson Desert, the only thing left is to return home. At this point, you get the option to shift your camp to Pailune, but you won’t find this option if you aren’t too far into the game yet.

Once my journey came to an end, I received a notification that I could now move my camp to Pailune. I thought the process to shift camp was a piece of cake, but unfortunately, there were several other requirements to meet before I got to this point.

To save you the trouble as well, I’ve jotted down all requirements before you can make the move.

    • Complete all the main story quests, which also includes the Epilogue.
    • Upgrade your camp to level 4.
    • Unlock and save Pailune in the main questline.
    • Once you do that, you will get the final task to restore Pailune. Completing just one construction task is enough to start your move back.

While completing the quests, you would have also completed the Greymanes faction quests alongside them. That includes almost everything under Scattered Embers, Grounds of the Sunrise, and Greymane Commissions.

    Unlocking the Greymane Faction Quests

In case you are missing some of the Greymane quests, take a sweep around your campsite and speak to all the NPCs around. Eventually, one of them might have the required quest for you. Otherwise, you need to keep recruiting more NPCs to come to your camp until you find the right person to hand over the quest.

There are a few quests that might be bugged or those that you can’t complete during this time. It’s okay if you can’t complete them all, as long as you have 31 Scattered Embers, 37 Grounds of Sunrise, and 27 Greymane Commission quests completed.

Completing the Final Greyman Faction Quests

The final Scattered Embers quest unlocks after Oongka gets locked out of your character wheel, which happens after completing every other quest under Scattered Embers. After that, you need to find him near Calphade Caste, southwest of Pailune City, and complete their quest.

Doing so will unlock the final Grounds of Sunrise quest called Homeward, and you need to take the next steps seriously for it to be executed flawlessly.

    • First, save your game manually to make this your point of return if things don’t go according to plan.
    • Cancel all outstation comrade missions and make sure everyone has returned to the Howling Hills camp.
    • Harvest all crops before taking down the camp, as crops will not carry over to the new area.

Now all that is left is to speak to Serkis inside his manor near Hernand Castle. After the interaction, head back to Howling Hills and step into the central area of your camp. A cutscene will trigger that shows everyone packing up and moving back to Pailune.

    FAQs

Will I get all my home decorations back?

Yes, all your home decorations will be stored away during the move, and you can set them up at your home after completing the move.

Why should I move my camp to Pailune?

Moving to Pailune will increase your personal storage to 1000, a bigger farm space, and more cooking utensils. The camp will also be closer to the village, where you can interact with the vendors more quickly.

Is moving to Pailune worth it?

Moving to Pailune is optional and should be the last thing that you do in the game. If you have completed all the main and faction quests and don’t have a lot more going on, then you can make the move to check out your new camp space.
