ARC Raiders – Line In The Sand Quest Guide

If you are picking up the quests in Arc Raiders, sometimes you will be tasked with solving mysteries of missing items or objects. That will lead you to the Line in the Sand quest, where you need to find out what happened to the missing train.​

​How to Complete the Line in the Sand Quest​

Like most quests, the Line in the Sand quest triggers after reaching a certain area of the Buried City map. Once the quest is triggered, you will get several quest objectives. With each objective, you need to explore the map to uncover how to complete them. Let’s take a look at each step and how to do them one by one.​

Find Out Why The Train Never Reached Marano Station​

To start the quest, head south directly from Marano Station POI, just between Piazza Roma and the Warehouse. You will find these locations on the western side of the map. Check out the derailed train half buried in the sand to get the next quest objective. During my time with this quest, I couldn’t get the next objective to appear until I stood on the train itself.​

Find Out Who Orchestrated the Robbery​

From your previous location, travel a bit east towards Piazza Roma. Look around for a lone broken tower jutting out from the sand. Enter the tower through the large open window and check around to find a box you can interact with in the corner. I had to look around the floor for a while since the box was tiny, but hovering my character over every inch of the floor helped me identify it. After interacting with the box, you will receive the Marano Market Business Card.​

Find Out Where the Thruster Valves Were Stashed​

You now need to make your way to the New District region in the eastern section of the map and travel all the way north towards Market Ruins. Once you stand in front of the building marked on the map above, you will be tasked with checking out the merchant apartment’s basement. ​

Search the Basement​

From the ruins, travel far east towards the outskirts of the map. Enter the building through the front door and go through the open doorway to find a zipline to take you down to the building’s lower floor. After landing, go through the doorway and interact with the boxes on your immediate right. You will get the notification to take a photo. Do just that, which will end the quest.

FAQs

​The quest got locked after I left the map. What do I do?​

This is a common bug if you had left the map without extracting after completing all the quest objectives. It is best to extract right after the quest to have the quest marked as completed. ​

Yes, you can do this quest solo or with friends to make it easier to get from place to place.​
