How to Unlock Switching Genders
Before you dive right into changing your Appraiser’s gender, you need to follow a particular side quest before you unlock this menu option. Don’t worry, as I found the side quest to be really easy. All I had to do was trigger the quest, then follow the quest markers to each new location and interact with all the NPCs.
In the Reflection Quest Guide
Open up your quest tracker to find this particular side quest. This will allow you to find the exact location to start this quest. You need to head over to the Bridge Crossings region’s Hankaku Street and speak to the two girls near the fountain. After that, you will get the first quest objective, which is to check out the Vintage Store.
The Vintage Shop’s Mirror
Again, this quest objective will be marked on the map, so follow the quest marker until you reach the store. It isn’t too far from your previous location. Speak to the storekeeper, Good Joe, to see what he has to say about the mirror. Then, speak to the two girls waiting outside the store to tell them about your findings.
Could It Be a Collectible?
Head over to New Herland District this time to find the Golden Apple Collection Hall. Make your way inside and speak to Dolores standing just beyond the main entrance. Your next hint is to visit the Grocery Shop owner to get their view on the matter.
Owner of the Washbasin
Travel all the way to the Miguel District to find the Grocery Store in question. Once you head inside, speak to Kookie, the store owner. She will give you instructions on what to do next, which is to fill up the empty basin beside the counter with water and look at your reflection. After that, speak to Kookie to complete the quest and unlock a new menu option.
How to Switch Genders
- Select the Menu option from the top right corner of the screen.
- Click on the Settings option at the bottom of the menu.
- Scroll through the tabs on top until you find the Others option and select it.
- Select the Switch Appraiser Gender option to switch genders.
