Key Points
- For the Guns and Ammo quest, you will need to find the abandoned truck near Hunter’s Paradise to trigger it.
- After that, you need to investigate several locations and piece together the clues about the whereabouts of the missing weapons.
- Completing the quest will help gain reputation with Gunny.
If you are following Gunny’s main questline in the 0.4 update for Gray Zone Warfare, then you would have encountered a familiar quest called Guns and Ammo. While the quest looks the same on the surface, you might have a hard time trying to pinpoint all the new locations you need to check out.

How to Complete the Guns and Ammo Quest

This quest starts after finding the abandoned truck on the path towards Hunter’s Paradise. You will find the truck at (159, 165), which is much closer to the Hunter’s Paradise entrance as compared to the quest of the same name in the previous update. Once you find the truck, investigate the trunk to find the Report Findings quest item. Check your quest log after that to find it updated with new objectives.
Now, you need to investigate the following three locations around Hunter’s Paradise to scout for any weapons or hostiles left behind. The places you need to check out are:
- Dumping ground (159,167)
- Campsite (161,169)
- Motel (160,167)
For me, the quest objectives were marked as completed as I stood around within these locations. I didn’t have to procure or scavenge for any loot items, nor did I have to fight any enemies on patrol. Just walking around the place did it for me.
Investigate the Weapon’s Storage

The weapon’s storage is located between the dumping ground, campsite, and motel, at coordinates (160, 168). There is only one fixed spawn point for the key, but it isn’t confirmed for all playthroughs. During my run, I found the key inside the office near the Firing Range at Hunter’s Paradise (160, 168). Just after entering the office, check out the small shelf to your left that has a gray binder on top. There is a key right next to it.
Other ways to get the key are to check all surrounding buildings within Hunter’s Paradise. There is a chance that they will appear on the tables or shelves within these buildings. If you still don’t have the key, then the only way to get it is via enemy drops. Check each corpse that you kill for the key.

Once you have the key, head over to (159, 168) to the west of Hunter’s Paradise. Enter the office and go through the door on the left. To the immediate right after entering the room is a box. Investigate the box to get the next objective.
Get the Intel Items

After turning in the report of the empty weapon container, Gunny will require two more items: a note and a folder. For the folder, head over to the motel (160, 167) and check out the outdoor tables. You will spot Nam’s Folder on one of them.
As for the note, you will find it inside a guard house at (160, 168). The small building is right on the road; you can’t miss it. Enter it to find the Grumbling Note on the table. Open up your quest log once more to hand over the items to Gunny and mark the quest completed.

I’ve checked everywhere but still can’t find the Weapon’s Storage key. What do I do?
Keep searching around Hunter’s Paradise, as it could drop from enemies, too. If you still have no luck, then restart the game or return to the location at a later time to have enemies respawn and check again.
