Romestead – How to Make Concrete

By Kirthana KJune 1, 20263 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • With the concrete mixer, you can craft concrete for late-game buildings.
    • You can unlock the concrete mixer blueprint from the University research tree.
    • Creating concrete will require some late-game materials that include volcanic ash, water, and clay.

In Romestead, your early game structures alone won’t be enough to keep enemies at bay. As you progress, it’s important to upgrade your defenses by unlocking advanced materials in the late game. Crafting concrete marks this crucial step. Let’s look at how you can strengthen your fortifications with this resource.

    How to Create Concrete

Concrete is the most valuable late-game material for building stronger structures. To get started, you’ll need both the right tools and materials. The next step is acquiring a Concrete Mixer, which you’ll unlock after leveling up and researching at the University. If you aren’t there yet, follow the previous steps to reach this milestone.

You need to reach the point where you need to find and defeat the Cyclops boss. You will find this boss in the Desert biome, and you will find him in the Eye Dungeon. By following through with Virgil’s Poem main quest, you will encounter the boss. Once the boss is down, upgrade your altar to level 3 to find new quests.

Check your quest log to find a new quest from Mercury. He will require 1x Traveler’s Coins and 1x Research Paper. You can find Traveler’s Coin through exploration and unlocking chests, while Research Papers are found within the chests inside the dungeons of the Volcano biome.

After handing in all the required items for the quest, you will unlock the University. To build the University, you will require:

    • 4x Wood
    • 6x Stone
    • 8x Brick

Now that you have your University unlocked, go through the research list to unlock and craft the Concrete Mixer. This will require 20x Research Papers to unlock. With this equipment, you can create Concrete. First, you will require the following materials.

    • 1x volcanic ash
    • 1x clay
    • 1x water

You need to collect all the above items using a bucket. Water and clay are found side by side, while volcanic ash is found in the Volcano biome. While here, look around for grey or white patches on the ground and use a bucket to gather them.

Once you have the materials, walk up to the mixer and press E to add each bucket item into it. Adding all of the above materials will give you 2x concrete.
