    How to Create Beer

Like most consumables in the game, beer is an essential item that will grant your character certain boosts. Luckily, I found out that crafting beer can be done very early in the game. This was of great help to me, as a few swigs of beer helped me tackle some of the early-game bosses. Like olive oil, crafting beer will require a unique structure called the beer dolium.

The only way to unlock the beer dolium is to complete the Scent of Memory quest. This quest is part of the World Quests, so you will unlock it by following the main storyline. As for the quest requirement, you need to offer an Armor Redivirus to the altar. This peculiar item is found in the first biome, within the dungeons here.

Check each dungeon spawn to find chests that might contain the Armor Redivirus. There is a lot of RNG going on here, so it will take a couple of tries to find it. Once found, hand it over to the altar to complete the quest and unlock the Beer Dolium blueprint.

How to Craft the Beer Dolium

Now, to craft the Beer Dolium, you just need 3x Clay. Clay can be found very early on and is usually deposited near water bodies. Look around for rusty brown splotches on the ground near and in the water, and use a bucket to gather clay. Head over to the workbench to craft and place the Beer Dolium.

There are two items that you need to feed the Beer Dolium to get beer: wheat and empty pots. First up, you can find wheat growing around in the wild, and once you unlock a farm plot, you can grow wheat in it. Besides wheat, you will also require empty pots to store beer in. Empty pots are created at the Pottery station, which only unlocks after completing the Declaration of War main story quest.

After completing the quest, you will require 3x Lumber, 3x Stone, and 4x Clay to craft the station. Then, you need to power up the furnace beside the Pottery station using either coal or wood. Finally, use clay again in the Pottery station to get empty pots. Head back to the Beer Dolim and put down the wheat and the empty pots into the dolium slots to craft beer.

    FAQ

    What does drinking beer do?

Can I purchase the empty pot?

You can check the market after unlocking it for unique items on sale, and that might include the empty pot.

    Can my citizens consume beer?

Yes, you can feed your citizens beer if they are in low health.
