Joining the Mercenaries Quest Guide
First, complete Chapter 2 to get this quest in Chapter 3. You also need to finish Lares’ quest, Brotherhood’s Plan, and become a bandit in New Camp. Then continue through Chapter 3 until you reach Swamp Camp.
After unlocking Swamp Camp, return to New Camp. You will be promptly stopped by Jarvis at the entrance, and you will be tasked with finding Lee. You can find Lee inside the quarters to the right of the Water Mages’ cave entrance.
He will ask you to meet Myxir at the Shipwreck just north of Swamp Camp. Follow the beach’s shoreline north to find the shipwreck.
Pick Up Myxir’s Quest
Over here, speak to Myxir, and he will tell you about an underwater chest that he would like you to unlock. If he doesn’t talk to you right away, try killing all the fire lizards around the area first, then speak to him once the area is cleared. He will take you to the second area, where you need to fight more fire lizards.
After that, you will get info about the underwater chest. Before you embark on the quest, I recommend seeking out Homer to upgrade your underwater breathing skill. You will find Homer on the bridge at New Camp, but he also shifts to the Swamp Camp.
Unlocking the Underwater Chest
Enter the water near Myxir and make your way towards the sunken ship. Swim underwater and explore the top part of the ship to find a chest. The chest is right beside the ship’s banister. Now, to unlock the ship, you need to lockpick it. The solution is given below.

What rewards do I get for completing the quest?
After collecting the items from the underwater chest, Myxir will just take the The Old Ways of the Druids book and leave behind the other items like the Ball Lightning scroll, 3x Lockpick, 2x Lab Flask, and 2x Steel. You will also gain +300 XP. Then, after talking to Lee and completing the quest, you will receive +700 XP and the Mercenary’s Armor.
How do I upgrade the Mercenary’s Armor?
You need to find Torlof near Lee’s location and ask him to upgrade your armor.
What happens after joining the Mercenaries?
Joining the mercenaries will help unlock new questlines, plus Lee can help you learn how to handle two-handed weapons for 30 LP.
