Key Points
- Both Silver and Gold Ores are found in Zones 1, 2, 3, and 4 at specific spots in the regions.
- Gold Ore always spawns in a small amount compared to Silver Ore.
- Both of them are needed to craft many of the key items in the game.
Both Gold and Silver Ores are special, hence their rarity in the game. Compared to others, you will find them in limited amounts and often in dangerous, environmentally hazardous places.
Gold and Silver Locations Overview in Hytale
| Gold and Silver Rarity | Rare |
| Finding Zones | Zone 1/ 2/ 3/ 4 |
| Required for | Craft Staff and Workbench |
| Spawn Amount | Few for Silver, One for Gold |

I would suggest taking a mental note of the locations and searching for the ore while exploring the regions, rather than looking for one specific ore. You will have a fun time when you treat Gold or Silver Ore hunting as a side objective.

Finding Silver Ore

They are typically found in almost every biome in the Hytale. But you will have an easier time hunting them down inside caves in the Howling Sands Zone.
Once you are in the desert biomes (Howling Sands), locate a cave and then enter it. Just go deeper into the caves until you are at the bottom, surrounded by lava.
Congrats, you have arrived at the location. Look for Silver Ore mining spots. Hit the blocks with your pickaxe to add the Silver Ores to your inventory.
Other Spots to Hunt Silver Ore
Silver Ores typically spawn in the underground section of the biomes. You must take a journey to the bottom of the world to hunt them down.
- You will find Silver Ore at the top of the mountains in the Whisperfrost Frontiers. They are also available around underground lakes.
- Some of them can be found in the underground section of the Forgotten Jungle (4th level of Tropical Jungle) on Volcanic Islands.
I had an easier time hunting for Silver, as it is found in almost every biome compared to Gold Ore.

Finding Gold Ore
Gold Ore is also a rare commodity in Hytale, always discovered in secluded spots. The best possibility to hunt them down would be the cliff areas in Howling Sands.
You will see part of the Gold Ore sticking out on the wall. Just hit the spot with your pickaxe to obtain the ore. Compared to Silver Ore, Gold Ore is rare; you will only get one at a time.
Other Spots to Hunt Gold Ore

Gold Ores also spawn at the brown mountains of Whisperfrost Frontiers. While Gold Ore does blend well with the desert wall, it will stick out well on the mountaintops in cold regions.
While Silver Ore can be acquired in a handful, Gold Ore, on the other hand, is always rare and in small amounts.
