YAPYAP – How To Get & Use Wands

By Kirthana KFebruary 4, 20263 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • You will find wands during exploration or purchase them from the vendor.
    • Each wand will offer unique spells, and you get to cycle through each wand after collecting them.
    • You will lose your wands upon death or completing a match.

Since you have to do the wizard’s bidding in YAPYAP, you will be tasked with utilizing various spells to navigate enemy territory. Once you have a wand, you get to select certain spells and cast them to help you out. You won’t find many wands at the start of the game, but there are ways to acquire them early on.

    How to Get a Wand

Before starting a match, investigate the large tree near the main hub. This tree has a sign that says Free Wand. Walk up to it and pick up your starter wand, the Wand of Wind. There will be one for each of your teammates. If you have enough gold, then head over to the vendor to check out the items for sale. There will also be 3 wands that you can purchase before being teleported.

    Other Ways to Get Wands

Most of the time, you will find wands during exploration. While checking out the enemy’s castle, keep an eye out for chests and crates. Unlocking them will give resources and gold, and a minor chance of obtaining a new wand. Most chests will offer just one wand, so you need to decide with your friends on who will own it.

    How to Use Wands

To use a wand, equip it in your hotbar and press the required number key to draw the wand. This is a great way to switch out your wands if you own multiple wands. Once you have a wand in hand, hold down the RMB to showcase all the wand’s spells.

    How to Cast Spells

Each wand will offer 3 unique spells, and you need to say the word into the mic to activate the spell. Once the spell is cast, it will enter a cooldown of 13 seconds before you get to cast it again. Certain potions might help reduce the cooldown so you get to recast the spell quickly.
