While there are a few methods that will help you with that, there is also a quick hack involving Herm that you can also try out to get more Town Gratitude.

How to Get More Town Gratitude
While you do get Town Gratitude mainly by completing quests and turning in Burial Certificates in Graveyard Keeper 2, there is a simpler method to gain more gratitude. I found that it is easy to get a handful of gratitude simply by trading with Herm the merchant. First, visit Herm and check his wares. While checking the shop, take note of the gratitude available for each item along with the cost.
Next, you can buy some of these items and resell them. That way, not only do you get your money back, but you also earn gratitude rather quickly. You might incur a minor loss while reselling, which you could get back after performing a sermon and checking the donation box.
Furthermore, you can also grow your own crops and sell them to Herm if you have more advanced tools and perks to get more crop yields. I would suggest working on getting the Bronze Shovel, as this gives great yield while harvesting crops.
Other Ways to Get Town Gratitude
You can still maximise your Gratitude amount in Graveyard Keeper 2 by selling Burial Certificates. I personally recommend this method as the best, as you don’t have to worry about fluctuating prices while selling the certificates or incur losses. You can cremate the bodies instead of burying them to make the process faster, then sell the certificates to Janerious at the tavern to get a profit and some gratitude.
The only problem with this is that you only get 5 gratitude for selling 7 burial certificates, so you need to do a bit of grinding to get the weekly gratitude quota of 10. The other guaranteed method, and also the rarest, is to utilize Town Gratitude scrolls. You can get scrolls from completing quests, and you only get a limited amount of them from the get-go. Since this is so rare, I recommend keeping them aside for a rainy day and not using them immediately.
