    R.I.P – Risk 6 Plague Angel Guide

By Santosh PandaFebruary 9, 20268 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • Plague Angel is the toughest boss fight in the entire game. So be prepared for nasty attacks with a little window to fight back.
    • Plague Angel shows up as the final boss fight at the end of the Frostfields map. It is the third and final map of the game.
    • Almost all Plague Angel attacks are damage-heavy, but the boss has a nasty AoE attack that will catch you off guard.
    • Almost all attacks project a red indicator before it starts; you must use the indicator as a signal to get out of the attack’s way or prepare for a perfect dodge.

Plague Angel at Risk Level 6 is unforgiving in R.I.P – Reincarnation Insurance Program; you have to constantly be on the move to avoid most of its attacks. The transition between the attacks is also deadly and quick, leaving you a small window to breathe. Since the new update allowed players to use grenades and the Tactical skill automatically, it is a bit less daunting now than before.

You need to be on the lookout for certain skills to carry you in the battle; going into the battle without any preparation will be signing a death warrant. I will also detail the gear and the Divine Pact used in the build to deal damage and get some defensive maneuvers for the fight. I highly recommend that you install Pacts on armor and weapons before jumping into any Risk Level 6 battle in the R.I.P. Reincarnation Insurance Program.

    Gear Details

R.I.P. - Reincarnation Insurance Program Plague Angel Gear Details Boss Fight
    • All Mythic Set: I focused more on dealing Tactical damage, Weapon damage, EXP gain, and Health regen.
    • Skill Priority:
    1. Electromagnetic Storm (Tactical Skill/ Legendary, Lv. 10): A must skill to defeat the boss as quickly as possible. Make sure to get the Legendary version of the skill to get the most out of it.
    2. Home Run (Psionic/ Legendary, Epic, or Rare rarity): This skill will help you deflect the projectiles and deal solid damage back to the enemy. At Lv. 6 (Legendary), you can deal over 5000 damage back to the boss by deflecting.
    3. Giant Slayer (Passive/ Legendary, Epic, or Rare rarity): It will help you bring a damage bonus to the Elites and bosses. At Lv. 5 on Legendary, this skill can reduce over 70% damage.
    4. Movement Speed Amplification (Passive): It will help you raise your movement speed by 16 or 20%. If you get the Legendary version of the skill, then you will be able to get 20% movement speed.
    5. Damage Reduction Coating (Passive/ Lv 5. Legendary): At Level 5, this skill can help you lower the damage reduction by 37%. Extremely crucial for tanking some of the hits from the boss.
    6. Overclock Circuit (Passive, Lv. 5/ Epic, or Rare, or Legendary): It will help you lower the cooldown timer. At Level 5 on Legendary, this skill can bring the cooldown timer to 116%.

Other skills you need to keep in mind are the skills primarily designed to boost the Tactical ability, damage, and radius. Get some of them for a smoother run.

    • Divine Pact Used:
      • Divine Contract: Lightning: Lightning “Electromagnetic Storm” damage 25% with 10% critical chance.
      • Divine Contract: Hunt Pact: 10% Critical Chance/ 25% Luck Increase.
      • Divine Contract: Dominion Pact – Summons a walking android drone to fight alongside you.

You can find all the details regarding Pacts and their use in the R.I.P. – Reincarnation Insurance Program by checking our guide.

Divine Contract: Lightning “Electromagnetic Storm” Tactical Skill did all of the damage to Plague Angel. The Dominion Pact android drone was to distract the boss from my location. And lastly, the Hunt Pact to raise the Critical Chance and a Luck boost.

While Heavy Artillery from Explosion Divine Pact can become useful, Electromagnetic Storm lasts for a long time and deals an absurd amount of damage. At the same time, the other contenders (Inferno, Corrosive, Frost) fall flat in terms of continuous damage dealing and duration.

But in order to make the gear truly work, get the skills mentioned above to make the build stronger. Use Tech Ban and Tech Reroll to get the Legendary version of skills in the R.I.P Reincarnation Insurance Program.

R.I.P Reincarnation Insurance Program – Plague Angel Moveset

Just like the fight against Sandstorm Lord at Desert, Plague Angel has a diverse number of moves. Here we will take a look at all the Plague Angel attacks and the best way to be out of harm’s way.

    Ground Spear Launch

R.I.P. - Reincarnation Insurance Program Plague Angel Spear Throw

Here, Plague Angel will release nine large spears aligned with the ground in front of him. Before the attack, the red indicator will give away the first step of the spear launch.

The best defence here is to go behind the boss, or you can try to execute a perfect dodge to avoid the spear attacks. The attack requires a few seconds to prepare before it begins, so you have plenty of time to avoid it.

    Melee Slash

R.I.P. - Reincarnation Insurance Program Plague Angel Melee Slash

If you are staying too close to the boss, then it will execute a common slash. This one can easily be dodged with a perfect dodge, or you can step away from the red indicator to completely avoid the damage.

    Slash Projectile

R.I.P. - Reincarnation Insurance Program Plague Angel Slash Projectile

Plague Angel will release a slash projectile in your direction. Avoiding this attack requires you to dodge at the right time. If you have any gear that provides deflection, you can watch it bounce back and hit the boss.

    Spinning Spear Throw

R.I.P. - Reincarnation Insurance Program Plague Angel Spinning Spear Throw

Plague Angel will toss its spear, spinning towards your character. Just like Slash Projectile, here, you must rely on dodge to avoid taking a hit from the attack.

One thing to note, unlike Slash Projectile, the rotating spear acts as a boomerang. So, prepare to dodge twice to avoid the attack from your front and then your back when it returns to the boss.

    Moving Ice Lasers

R.I.P. - Reincarnation Insurance Program Plague Angel Ice Lasers

This one can be deadly, as lasers will move around the stage in a non-sequential manner. Better to move slowly and avoid doing any action besides moving to stay safe.

If a laser is heading your way, dodge it and look for a blind spot to stay a bit safer before preparing for the next dodge. This is one of the brutal moves that can easily take a huge chunk of your life, as lasers move at a rapid speed without any breaks.

    Frozen AoE Ice attack

R.I.P. - Reincarnation Insurance Program Plague Angel Frozen AoE attack

The last deadly move is where Plague Angel releases three frozen ice AoE attacks, one after another, with a few seconds between the attack animations. The only way to avoid taking a hit is to stay in the safe spots between the frozen attack lines. Don’t touch the lines, or you will receive damage.

Since all three frozen attacks are different, the same goes for the safe spots between them. But you just have to move slightly to your left or right to avoid it, don’t perform dodge or heavy movement, or you will take a hit.

    FAQs

How hard is Plague Angel on Risk Level 6 in R.I.P Reincarnation Insurance Program?

It is pretty difficult to take down the boss at Risk Level 6. I myself faced countless deaths trying out many Pacts and skills to take him down. The best way to defeat the Plague Angel at Risk Level 6 is to finish the battle as quickly as possible before taking too much time on the fight.

Use the skills and pacts to stay a cut above the boss, use Electromagnetic Storm to deliver the death blow, as it deals a heavy amount of damage in a repetitive fashion, and covers a wider area.

What is the reward for beating Plague Angel on Risk Level 6?

You will get a Pact, Corrupted Crystal, and Mythic Gear by taking out the boss. While Corrupted Crystal is guaranteed, so is the Mythic gear, but Pacts might not drop after boss death.

Can I defeat the boss without using Pact or Mythic gear?

Yes, but it will be brutally difficult to carry out the challenge without any proper setup. I would recommend getting your hands on solid pieces of Mythic gear to equip 2 skills on each gear. Compared to Legendary, every piece of Mythic gear, which includes the gun, comes with x2 skills. Which ups your chance of survival in the toughest terrain encounters at Risk Level 6.

Will I get any achievement or trophy after beating Plague Angel at Risk Level 6?

None, currently, you will not find any achievement related to Risk Level 6 clearance in the R.I.P. Reincarnation Insurance Program. You will get an achievement for beating the boss for the first time; that’s it.
