How to Get the Moon Dance Animation

The Moon Dance emote is locked behind a mini side quest, where you need to help a young NPC retrieve their grandmother’s Songbook. I couldn’t find this quest from the get-go, until I realised that I had to travel to the fallen version of Liangzhou in Hexi: Liangzhou Town. You can change the time at the top left corner of the world map. Then, head over to the Skybrim Market waypoint. Once you reach the waypoint, head west and go north while on top of the cliffs.

Keep to the edge of the cliff to find a young NPC called Little Bao. She will be distraught about dropping her granny’s songbook into the waters below. Peer over the ledge and use Wind Sense to find out the lost book’s location. Even without Wind Sense active, I could spot a slight glimmer in the waters below, right on the sunken boat docked near the shoreline.
Unfortunately, the area is also patrolled by a troll, but this enemy is quite easy to deal with at a distance. If using ranged weapons, you can easily hit the troll from your location. I chose to quickly pick up the book while the troll wasn’t looking, then use the Skybrim Market waypoint again to travel back. Return the book to Little Bao to unlock the Moon Dance emote.
How to Use the Moon Dance Animation
The Moon Dance animation will be added to your list of emotes. To access your emotes, you need to open the right-side menu. On the far-right side, hover over each option until you find the Emotes tab. Once selected, you will find all your existing Emotes at the bottom of the screen. Go to the Solo tab to find the Moon Dance animation and click on it to use it.
