Unlike many puzzles in Escape the Backrooms, like the one in the elevator room or the vending machine, all of them follow an RNG system. But the painting puzzle has a non-RNG system attached to it. You will always encounter the same puzzle on every run of the game.

Solving the Painting Puzzle in Terror Hotel
The room has two paintings on the left and two on the right. Each painting will have a picture of a person of different ages. We must solve the painting puzzle by pressing the buttons on the painting that starts from young to old.
Note: While you are in this room, you don’t have to worry about your Sanity meter going down, but the second you open the door to the Terror Hotel, it will start depleting.
On the right, you will find a painting with the picture of a young girl and the picture of a young man. Basically, the wall that covers the picture of the young.
On the left, you will find a picture of two old men, one looking to the right and the other looking to his left. Here we have the latter two solutions for the puzzle.

Solution
- First Button: Press the button under the painting that has the picture of the young girl.
- Second Button: Press the button under the painting of the young man.
- Third Button: Press the button under the painting of the old man looking to his left. (Directly across the painting of the young Girl)
- Fourth Button: Lastly, press the button on the painting of the sick old man, placed across the painting of the young man.

What if I press the wrong button on the painting?
If you do make that mistake, then the mini-game here will reset. You will have to start from scratch and try your luck next time.
Are the paintings here randomized?
Nope, on our multiple runs, we saw the same paintings hanging on the wall, carrying the same picture. As far as we know, the picture in the paintings stays the same.
