Waterpark Simulator 1.0 Museum Guide – How to Unlock, What it Does, and More

By Kirthana KAugust 3, 20264 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • The Museum expansion is a new addition to the 1.0 update.
    • You will unlock the museum after reaching 2 ½ stars and are on the way to unlocking 3 stars.
    • Inside the museum, you can interact with three different NPCs and pick up unique quests.

The 1.0 update for Waterpark Simulator has a new option to unlock the museum. To do this, you need to progress through the game’s tasks and unlock more stars. Eventually, you will find the museum right outside your park, and you can visit it anytime to get new decor.

    How to Unlock the Museum

The museum gets unlocked as part of the game’s progression system. As with most unlocks, you will receive a notification about a new attraction after earning a couple of star ratings. While I played the game, I got the notification about the new museum unlock after reaching 2 ½ stars. It may not appear immediately, as I had to progress through unlocking 3 stars for quite a while before I got the pop-up message.

After getting the pop-up, you can exit your waterpark and make your way to the left side. Right across the street is the new Museum building. Enter it to find three different NPCs who will be happy to hand out different quests to complete and earn different currency types.

What Do the Museum NPCs Do

The three NPCs inside the museum, namely Poseidon’t, Clara Loft, and Goldie, will hand out different quests when you interact with them. After completing their active quest, they will hand over a new currency to be used at the Research Bench inside the Museum to unlock new themed decorations and games.

Poseidon’ts theme mainly pertains to the ocean and beach, while Clara Loft offers several Aztec and Mayan decorations. Goldie, the pirate, will unlock pirate-themed decorations for your park. Do note that once you have picked up a quest from one NPC, you need to complete it before picking up another quest from either the same NPC or anyone else in the Museum.

    Museum Quests Explained

The quests you get from the different Museum NPCs are not particularly difficult. These quests will mostly pertain to the maintenance of your park and the visitors. You would already be familiar with some of the quests if you are progressing through the main questline of the game. The tasks given by the Museum NPCs will be random, so you need to work on those alongside your main tasks to earn the required currency and unlock new theme decor.

    When to Visit the Museum

I would suggest not visiting the Museum during very busy hours. For me, I found it best to head over here before opening the park or during closing time. But if I was playing multiplayer, then I would assign my friends to look after the park while taking my time at the Museum.

After picking up a quest, I would head straight back to my park and complete the quest before the day was over so I could turn it in and get the unique themed currency. If playing solo, I recommend placing a few workers at the stalls and ticket counter before leaving the park.

    FAQs

What does the Yogi in front of the museum do?

The Yogi is another special NPC who offers quests after completing all the Museum NPC questlines. Most of his quests include purchasing and building more intricate and expensive equipment for your park.

    Which theme should I pick?

It doesn’t matter which theme you are going for, as all themes offer different decor items. It is best to stick to one theme throughout the game so that you can work through the research tree for that theme quickly.

Is working on the Museum quests worth it?

Yes, after completing all the Museum quests and unlocking most of the decor from one theme, you will come close to unlocking the ultimate waterslide and pool for that particular theme. Building this waterslide will give you a boost in customers and improve your park rating exponentially.

Do I work on the Museum quests early in the game?

It is recommended to start picking up Museum quests early in the game, as this will give you time to accumulate the required currency to unlock all the themed decor.
