Runescape Dragonwilds has some new quests as part of the Umbral Sands update. During one of the quests, you need to help a Vault Guardian locate three crystal pieces to uncover the next part of the hive.

How to Complete the Contract Quest
Before you begin, I recommend getting the Carpet mount to traverse the deserts of Umbral Sands. Then, make your way to the Kalphite Hive to find the Vault Guardian to start the quest. The hive in question is located just north of Dunes of Uzzer. You can also get here by heading east from the main camp. In the northern section, explore the area until you find the Avisk Crystal.
Interact with the crystal to start the quest, then head north-northeast to find the hive entrance. Enter it and speak to the Vault Guardian Prime. He will tell you that the Crystal Helix has been shattered into three pieces, and it is up to you to find the guardians who hold the missing pieces.
All Fragment Locations
The first guardian is easy to find, as it is close to the Vault Guardian Prime. Head down the northern passage to find the first guardian in the room ahead. He is trapped in the wall on the western section of the room. Interact with the guardian to pick up the first crystal.
Second Crystal Location
The second guardian is found west of the hive entrance. Explore the rubble to find a piece of the guardian sticking out. Use a shovel to clear the rubble and interact with the broken guardian, but you need to activate it to get the second crystal.
For that, you need to find 4x Vault Shards and place them on the guardian to activate it and hand over the crystal. You will find Vault Shards within Dragonkin Vaults scattered around Ashenfall.
Third Crystal Location
For the next guardian, you need to exit the cave and go further north. You will spot several Kalphite eggs on the ground. Check between the eggs to find a shattered guardian, but there is no crystal to collect here. Rather, you need to find the person responsible for tearing the guardian apart.
The quest objective will change to find the footprints of the person who did it. Make your way northeast from the hive entrance to find some footprints in the sand. Follow the footprints to find Zanik in their tent. Collect the final crystal from them.
Completing the Quest
Speak to Guardian Prime again at the hive. Show him the crystals, and he will lift the barrier to go further into the hive. While heading deeper, you will find Zanik here again. Talk to them, then break all the crystals in the room. Speak to them one final time to complete the quest.
