How to Get the Lantern Key
You will get the Lantern Key as a drop for defeating the Mysterious Knight in Act 2 – Hive’s random event. The event triggers when a shiny item is picked up from the floor. If you return the Key, you will gain 100 Gold. But keeping it will start a boss fight. This is a level 6 enemy and will deal 21 damage, so you need to prepare yourself beforehand. Once defeated, you will get random amounts of gold and the Lantern Key card.
How to Use the Lantern Key
To use the Lantern Key, you need to progress through Act 3 – Glory and find the War Historian, Repy. Again, this is a random encounter. If you find him, he will ask you to use the Lantern Key to either free him from the cage or to unlock the chest.
- If you choose to free him, you will get the History Course relic. Using this relic will play a copy of your last played Attack or Skill at the start of your turn.
- If you unlock the chest instead, you will gain 2 random potions and 2 random relics instead.
