    By Kirthana KDecember 17, 2025Updated:July 21, 20265 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • Belt Speed, Catapult Speed, and either Fertilizer or Fuel Efficiency are the best skills to unlock first.
    • Your next focus should be on Logistics and skills to increase sales and shop profit.
    • Play the main story quests and complete orders to upgrade your level and earn skill points to spend.

It could be tempting to put all your early-game skill points into random perks in Alchemy Factory. But it is recommended to go through the upgrade list and only pick out the ones that will help your store. Here are some useful perks to invest in during early-game.

Factory EfficiencyReduces production speed but also increases fuel cost.

    All Best Skills Explained

Here is a quick overview of each of the best early game skills that you should unlock for easy handling of your store and production.

    Fuel Efficiency

As the name suggests, you should focus on how your fuel is consumed during the production stage. Creating fuel consists of using up coal and planks, and when you unlock this skill early, you can save a lot of money in fuel and spend it on items that matter.

    Factory Efficiency

This helps increase the production time and push items on the shelves at a faster rate. With this, you can meet growing demands very early in the game. The only thing to keep in mind is that you need to manage your fuel cost, so fuel efficiency and factory efficiency go hand in hand.

    Catapult Speed

The reason why catapult speed is in this list is because it takes a very long time to stack items on the shelf manually. If you are in the middle of your workday and want to restack the shelves, then this upgrade will help you with that.

    Belt Speed

Belt speed might sound similar to factory efficiency, but they are totally different skills. Belt speed will increase the items that arrive on the belt in a go. The higher the speed, the more items can be stacked and transported on the belt. To ensure that the ratio of the items added do not get messed up, you should also enhance production speed side by side.

    Fertilizer Efficiency

This is an important early game skill to upgrade as soon as you get the chance. Improving your fertilizer will increase your plant growth rate, and this skill isn’t only important for early game, but late game too. The more crops you own, the more fertilizer will be used up. This will put a massive strain in your fertilizer efficiency unless your skill up first.

    Sales Ability

Early on, after opening your store, you need to have the items fly off the shelves. Without the right sales tactic skill, you will find your sales coming to a standstill. The more customers visit your store, the higher your profits. With each increase of this skill, the better your sales values will improve.

What Skills to Focus on First?

Since you will be running against the clock and trying to push out items quickly, you should focus more on increasing production. Belt Speed and Catapult Speed will help you with that, but you should also focus on Fuel Efficiency and Factory Efficiency to control heat consumption of your machines and increase production.

Fertilizer perks are a necessity too, since you will be working on your nursery frequently to create potions. Adding points to Fertilizer Efficiency will increase the number of nurseries and improve plant growth. Finally, focus on other logistics skills if you have some extra points, as this will help turn over a profit. Sales Ability is a big help in increasing your Reputation in Alchemy Factory.

    How to Get Skill Points?

Initially, as you level up your Alchemy, you will get 2 skill points per level. Later on, you need to collect Relics to help you earn skill points. You will get Relic blueprints as you unlock new crafting recipes, and some of them will boost the skill points earned.

    FAQ

How does improving Belt Speed and Catapult Speed help?
