How To Play the Tetramon Card Game in TCG Card Shop Simulator 1.0

By Kirthana KSeptember 17, 20266 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • Tetramon is the creature card game available to play in the game.
    • You can customize your deck and use it in matches or tournaments to win more cards or decks.
    • The two most important structures you will need here are the Workbench and the Match Table.

Learning how to use your personalised deck of cards is one of the sole purposes of playing TCG Card Shop Simulator. Armed with your deck, you can bring down several opponents and come out victorious. If you find card building mundane, then this quick guide will help compile your deck and teach you how to use it.

After reaching Shop Level 10 in TCG Card Shop Simulator, you can place the Workbench from the DIY app on your phone. This will allow you to start building your card deck to use during matches and tournaments. In case reading the details on each card is overwhelming, here are some of the card details explained so it’s easier to understand.

    Identifying Basic and Evolution Cards

    Image via TheGamesWatch

Before creating your deck, I suggest inspecting all your cards by picking them up. While checking the left bottom corner, you will find a circle that has the terms Basic or Evolves From written here. Basic cards can be placed directly on the table, but Evolution cards will require the Basic cards first.

They then get stacked on them during the next turn. You need to have the right Basic cards to stack with an Evolution card. If you have the Pigni basic card, you can use Burpig on it, since it specifies that it evolves from Pigni.

    How Card Elements Work

Each card in TCG Card Shop Simulator has all four elements mentioned at the bottom, and these elements are Fire, Wind, Earth, and Water. Next to each element, note down the numbers next to them.

The element with the highest number is the main element of the card and will deal the most damage pertaining to that element. Some cards can have high numbers against more than one element, so these cards can be treated as multi-element cards.

    How Card Effects Work

Cards don’t just have the elements detailed on them; they also come with buffs or debuffs that can activate when placed on the table. Each card has different effects, so you need to read each one during examination before placing them in your deck.

    Getting a Match Table

First, you need to put down a match table in your store, and you can find the table in the DIY app on your phone. You need to level up to Shop Level 2, then purchase the table for 200$. Place it down anywhere in your store, and a customer who wants to play will sit down if the store is open. You can place multiple tables in a row to allow more customers to join in.

    Match Setup Explained

    Image via TheGamesWatch

After sitting down with your opponent in TCG Card Shop Simulator, you will be dealt 5 cards from your deck. You can Mulligan it or keep it after checking them out using the RMB. If you Mulligan it, you can only do this one time in a match, and whatever cards you are dealt a second time will be your final pick. Also, four extra cards from your deck will be added to the central guardian area.

If you check your central area, you will notice 500 points added here. Each time you are dealt damage from the opponent, you will lose the points. If you are losing a lot of points, you can pull out the central cards to add them to your collection, giving you a better chance of defending yourself.

The cards placed in the center are random, and you can’t examine them throughout the match. Each time your points are lowered to 400, 300, 200, and 100, you can pull one card.

    Setting up your Starting Team

At the start, either you or your opponent will get the first and second turns, respectively. You can then draw one card and add it to your list of 5 cards on hand. Examine each card and note down the highest element, then place it against the respective empty slots of that same element on the table.

For example, Pigni has Fire as its highest element, so put it down on the Fire slot if you don’t have any other Fire type card that deals more serious damage. Do the same for the other elements to get your team ready. The first round won’t deal any damage, so use this time to set up your ideal team.

    Starting the Match

You can click on End Turn if you are confident with your selection, after which your opponent will set their cards if they have the second turn. Then, when the match starts, the effects on your selected cards will activate first.

Your cards can only unleash the effects once, and after using them up, that card can’t reactivate the effects in the next round. So, I recommend switching out the cards frequently during your turn, or using an Evolution card if you have one.

    Using Evolution or Basic Cards

Evolution cards in TCG Card Shop Simulator can only be used after their related Basic card has been on the table for one turn. Once it’s your turn again, you can evolve it as many times as you want in a single turn, provided you have the right evolution card stacks. If you have multiples of the same Basic card, then you can place that on top of the previous card to reactivate the same effect during your next turn.

Otherwise, if it is an Evolution, then it will be treated as an entirely new card altogether, and that card’s effect will be triggered. Wiping out one card from your existing lineup to add a new card will remove all Basic cards within that slot or remove all Evolution cards if they were placed here. All removed cards will be shifted to the Discarded pile, and you can take some out if you require them.

    FAQs

How do I win the match?

Winning matches will depend on luck and the cards dealt during your round. You need to keep lowering the opponent’s rank until their rank goes lower than yours or hits zero, or if all cards have been used up and your rank is still higher than your opponent’s.

Can I ask for a rematch?

Yes, at the end of the match, you can keep the game going by asking for a rematch, or leave the match entirely.

How do I edit my deck?

Visit the Workbench anytime to edit your existing deck or create a new deck.

    Is playing Tetramon important?

Playing Tetramon is a great way to earn new decks and cards for free if you win, plus you can test your deck out before tournaments.
