    Key Points

    • Stalkers will usually hide behind corners and peek out at the player before disappearing.
    • They will drain some sanity if looked at directly.
    • The best tactic to avoid Stalkers is to look down and walk quickly past corners.

In Animal Hospital, you will face a series of various anomalies. Each anomaly offers different debuffs to your character. When dealing with the Stalker, you should avoid eye contact with it at all costs if you want to keep your sanity intact.

    What Does the Stalker Do

    Image via TheGamesWatch

The Stalker is a long black bunny with haunting eyes and a large grin, and staring at it directly will make you lose -10 Sanity. There are no fixed spawn locations for the Stalker, as they can appear anywhere around the hospital. They will also appear randomly during the day, and other times, you won’t even spot them.

Luckily, Stalkers are mostly harmless, and they will only drain your stamina if you look at them directly. Most of the time, they can be avoided by rushing past them or just breaking eye contact when you see them around corners.

    How to Avoid Stalkers

Killing Stalkers is pointless, as they will just disappear behind the corner they were standing at. What I liked to do first is to get the camera upgrade and have it cover all corners of the hospital. This will help detect any movement down the hallways. I would also recommend walking past corners quickly while looking ahead or down, as Stalkers are shown to make corners their habitats.

But you won’t find Stalkers lurking corners all the time. Sometimes, when you enter the hospital rooms, you might find a Stalker within the room. If you had looked at it, there isn’t much you could do other than focus on recovery. Having a few sips of coffee always helps get your stamina back on track, so head back to the main lobby and grab a cup before you start looking after other patients.

    Popular Stalker Locations

While the Stalker doesn’t have a fixed spawn point, they do have a few choice locations where they commonly spawn.

    • The first area is in the lobby right opposite the main entrance.
    • The second most common location is the surgery room.
    • If you walk out of your office towards the staff room, you will find a Stalker in the left corner.
    • The Stalker will also sometimes stand in front of the emergency wing or medical wing doors.
    • Do walk quickly past the large potted plant, as this is also a Stalker hiding spot.
    • You might find the Stalker behind the vending machine near the Staff Room.

    FAQs

Will Stalkers appear frequently throughout the day?

No, once a Stalker is spotted, they won’t reappear throughout your shift.

What shifts do Stalkers appear on?

Stalkers will appear as early as Shift 2 and later, so there are no fixed shift days for them.

    Are Stalkers Dangerous?

They aren’t really that dangerous, but it can be a bit annoying losing -10 Sanity each time you look at it.
