Some NPCs in Gothic 1 Remake will have strange requests. Once you meet Baloro, he will ask for a handful of items. The hardest item to find on the list is grapes, and you need to search a couple of places to get your hands on them.

All Grape Locations and How to Get
You will require two grapes to hand over to Baloro, along with several other consumables. In return, there is a chance to get his weapon. Out of all the items that Baloro has requested for the quest, locating grapes was the hardest for me.
But after spending a lot of time scavenging, I managed to find the required amount of grapes for the quest. I’ve listed down the best and easiest route to find grapes below, but some of the locations will require you to progress the game a bit more to unlock certain areas.
Water Mage’s Shelter
This was by far the easiest spot for me to find grapes, but you need to unlock Chapter 3 first. Then, wait for nightfall, and make your way to the Water Mage’s Shelter just southwest of New Camp. Once inside the shelter, wait for the people on patrol to either leave the area or fall asleep. Then, find a flight of stairs going up to the dining hall. Raid the grapes on the table here, I could find 2x grapes this way.
Old Camp Castle and Wine Cellar
If you have been following Syra’s quests, then you would have noticed that she spends a lot of her time in the kitchen of Old Camp Castle. Check the table to find a grape here. Also, you could visit the wine cellar in the Ore Baron, but you need to lockpick the chests here. Once you do, you can collect a handful of grapes.
New Camp
There are two locations where grapes can spawn. Make your way to the Cord training area, which is just below Haenno’s location. Continue to follow the shoreline of the river until you come across a clearing with a stool and a table. Check the area to find a grape here.
Then, find the NPC called Wolf near the tavern and check his wares; he might sell a grape if you are lucky. If not, wait until he isn’t looking to break into his house. Inside is a chest that you can lockpick to get three grapes.
New Mine
My least favorite location to find grapes is inside Swyney’s chest in New Mine. If you walk along the houses, you will find one that belongs to Swyney. Head inside while staying undetected to find his locked chest. There is a lengthy lockpicking sequence here, but once you get past it, you can collect three grapes inside.
How to Get the Other Items for Baloro
Grapes aren’t the only item that is required for the quest. You also need to collect 5 apples, 2 bottles of rice schnapps, 5 bottles of beer, 3 loaves of bread, and 2 pieces of cheese. Luckily, you can buy all of the above items from merchants or find them inside chests and around abandoned camps.
If you haven’t killed or gotten rid of Mordrag, you can find several of the above items at his store in Old Camp. Or you can visit Sharky in New Camp and check his store to purchase the items. Return to Baloro to complete his questline.
