The new photography event will have you zipping across the map of Japan to find all the items on the list. Some of these items require specific weather conditions and can be found in certain locations.
How to Find Water Lanterns
For this particular photography challenge, I could find water lanterns in the western section of Tokyo City. Make your way to the outskirts and head out towards the shoreline. Eventually, you will spot a Tori gate in the water.
Check around the area to find Water Lanterns and take a photo of them to complete the challenge. If you can’t find any lanterns, make sure that you reach this spot during the summer daytime to find them.
How to Find Sky Lanterns
I found out that Sky Lanterns have a chance to spawn close to the large stadium near the Horizon Stadium Scramble dirt racing event. You need to get here during the autumn season, and they will start spawning during the night.
Once you make your way to the northern section outside the stadium, to the west of the dirt race start point, you will find several lanterns in the sky. Take a photo of them to complete the challenge.
How to Find Kites
Kites are also located quite close to the same location where you had to find Sky Lanterns. Make your way to the northeastern end of the Horizon Stadium during the summer daytime. You will find several kites in the sky.
How to Find Tanabata Streamers
The easiest of the photography challenge locations, all you need to do is make your way to Mei’s House in the northern outskirts of Tokyo City. You need to visit this location during the summer daytime to find the streamers right beside the house.

How can I change the weather?
The only way to change the time and weather conditions is to keep driving around in free roam mode to have the seasons change, as there are no in-game features that support changing time and seasons.
Are there other ways to find photography items?
The fastest way to find the photography items is to head over to the Creative hub in the main menu, go to the Events Lab > Play Challenges, then search for the item in question.
You can also select the Play Event tab in the Events Lab and use the Search option at the bottom of the screen. If you have a photo code, paste the code to be transported to the photo op location.
