TBH: Task Bar Hero – How to Sell Items

By Kirthana KMay 29, 20265 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • To farm gold, use the Cube to sell unwanted items from your inventory or stash.
    • You can also use the Steam marketplace to sell items for real money.
    • Only certain high-tiered items will fetch a profit in the marketplace, while other items are better used to upgrade existing gear or converted to gold.

Farming gold is essential in TBH: Task Bar Hero to unlock Runes, upgrade heroes, and optimize play. In addition to gold farming, you can also take advantage of the marketplace to earn real money from your items. Let’s explore both approaches.

How to Sell Items and Get Gold

The earliest and best way to farm gold is to unlock the Cube option. Within the main game screen, you will find a cube icon in the fourth slot. Select the Cube, then click on the Synthesis tab at the top of the Cube screen. Change the setting to Alchemy, then add all the items from your inventory or stash that you don’t need anymore.

If you own multiple items and want to get rid of them in bulk, you can select the Auto Fill option to add them to the Cube. You can also select or deselect the option to add items from Stash if you wish to keep those items and remove the inventory items instead.

Another way to get gold is to check out the Runes menu. You will find the Rune of Wealth, which will increase your gold drop from items and from defeating enemies and bosses. That way, you don’t have to sell items in the Cube to earn gold all the time, as you can passively earn gold while your heroes run through the levels.

    How to Use the Marketplace

The Marketplace is a bit more complicated to utilize, as it requires real money. To sell items in the marketplace, select the ship icon at the top of the hero page. This will take you to the Trade Ship menu, where you can add items in the empty slot. Once ready, click on the Market icon on the left side of the screen to ship your items to the community marketplace.

To check your items for sale or set the price of the item, you can click on the Inventory icon above the Market item or go to the Steam inventory. Over here, click the items, select Sell, and set their prices. The general rule of thumb for setting prices is to list them 5% or 10% below the current lowest price. Go through the marketplace to see the average selling price, then set your item’s price slightly below it.

    How to Make a Profit

To make a profit, check the recent sale prices and match your item’s price to them. Wait for a couple of days to check if you have made a sale. If you haven’t made any sales, drop the price and try again. The price of the items on sale will depend on their rarity. Anything that is of Immortal tier and above will fetch you a good profit, but anything below this tier should be sent to the Cube.

Do remember that if you are about to list items in the marketplace before using the Cube, then your cube level will reset. Hence, it is best to work on the marketplace first, then use the cube after you have exhausted your options.

    FAQs

How do I find the community marketplace?

Open up Steam and click on the Community tab right at the top. Select the Market option and select the TBH game to open up the community marketplace.

Where can I check my marketplace revenue?

If you have your Steam wallet linked to the community marketplace, the money from the items sold will be stored here.

How can I start collecting high-tier gear quickly?

High-tier gear drops from Act 2 onwards. First, focus on collecting and synthesizing common and uncommon gear to upgrade them and add them to your heroes to make them powerful. Extra gear can be cubed to get gold and unlock Runes. Once you reach Act 2 and your heroes can sustain themselves throughout the level, you will find Immortal and higher-tiered gear drops.

How do I claim my purchased marketplace items?

You can check your in-game mailbox to find all the items purchased from the marketplace. If you can’t find anything, wait a couple of seconds and refresh the game. Check your mailbox again for the pop-up. You can also find your delisted products within the in-game mail.

Can I trade directly with friends?

No, there is no function implemented that will allow you to trade between players. The only way to sell your item is via the marketplace.
