Cult of the Lamb DLC – How to Prepare for Woolhaven

By Kirthana KJanuary 23, 20263 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • Woolhaven is a standalone region that brings its own unique challenges.
    • The focus here is on getting as many items for your base as you can to keep warm.
    • Base Expansion to accommodate the new structures will probably be your priority #1.

The new Woolhaven region in Cult of the Lamb is a frost-filled area that offers several unique new features. Since this region is quite different from what you are normally used to, it would make sense to prepare for the inevitable before unlocking it.

Chili Cult of the Lamb Woolhaven

Woolhaven is separated from the main base, so you aren’t required to make prior arrangements. Instead, once you have Woolhaven unlocked, you should work on attaining the following features quickly.

    Expanding the Base

All the new structures that are part of the Woolhaven update will take up plenty of space. That’s when I had to seek out Gofernon for base expansion. This proved to be one of the more important upgrades for me, since I required new structures to help keep my followers warm during the harsh winters.

Building a Rotburn Furnace and Keeping Followers Warm

After base expansion, the next task was to unlock and build the Rotburn Furnace. This helped keep my followers warm for long periods and proved highly useful early on . Also, using Rituals like the Follower Wedding Ceremony and the Bonfire Ritual II provided additional warmth. Unlocking the Baptismal Bath through the Divine Inspiration upgrades also help defrost frozen followers.

Feeding Hot Foods and Using Sweaters

Wool is one of the newer resources in the game, and once you have the Tailor unlocked, you get to make sweaters. But wool is pretty expensive to farm early on. Personally, I found that it was best to save up enough wool to create sweaters for the more important followers first. Besides Wool, you also get to farm and grow Chilies, and creating dishes like Hot Chilli Mash provides a temporary buff against the cold.

    FAQs

What do I need to do before heading into Woolhaven?

You don’t need to make any prior arrangements before stepping into Woolhaven.

What are the most important structures I require first in Woolhaven?

You need to first set up a Rotburn Furnace to keep your villagers warm, and also expand your base to accommodate all the new features that Woolhaven has to offer.

Do I need to stock up on food and resources before launching Woolhaven DLC?

No, you don’t need to stock up on food and resources for now. Once you gain access to Woolhaven, you get to uncover new recipes, ingredients, and resources required for the region.
