How to Complete the Do Not Go Gentle Quest

The Do Not Go Gentle quest starts right after completing the Even as a Shadow main quest. These quests are all part of the main 0.201 questline, so you shouldn’t have a hard time getting to this point. As for the quest itself, you are first tasked with finding Ulfe. Of course, Ulfe isn’t visible anywhere on the map. This point of the quest had me stumped for a bit until I encountered an Echo wall within the cave.
To find this wall, go south past the quest marker and turn right to find it. Go through the wall to find Ulfe, after which the quest objective will change. To find the source of the angry voices, go west and walk across both bridges until you find the Angry Echoling. She will hand over three tasks for you to complete.
Sabotage the Ballistas
The Ballistas are visible in plain sight around the area. There’s one right next to the Angry Echoling itself, another one near Ulfe’s spot, and the last one near Tamala. Speak to the Angry Echoling to get the next objective.
Collect Debris and Rebuild the Echoling’s Home
Near the Echoling are marked locations with wood or rock piles. Use an axe or a pickaxe to mine the related materials. Return to the Echoling once done to help rebuild her house. To rebuild her house, interact with the signboard to the right of the Echoling, then add all the collected materials. The materials required are:
- 25 Ancient wood
- 10 Heartwood
- 10 Sapwood
- 10 Palium ore
- 1 Platinum ore
- 25 Whitestone
- 10 Stone
The Angry Echoling is still not fully satisfied and wants you to help rebuild the Garden surrounding her house. In the dialog, she then mentions the order in which the flowers are to be planted.
Plant the Flowers in the Right Order

After clearing out all the weapons and rebuilding Echoling’s house, the final task is to help fix her garden. For this, the requirement is to plant the flowers in the right order. I thought the Echoling would give me a hint on how she would like her garden to look, but she did no such thing.
With some simple guesswork, I found the solution to the order of the garden puzzle. Starting from left to right, plant the flowers in the following order.
- Bluebell
- Tulip
- Gardenias
- Rose
Pick up each flower from the flowerpots on the table on the right and plant them in the large planter. Then, interact with the altar in front of the planter to complete the puzzle. If done correctly, the quest objective will change. Speak to the Echoling one final time to collect the Fire Blossom Flowflower.
