How to Find Trolls
Trolls are most commonly found in the later zones, especially around The Jungle Temple and the Sand Labyrinth. But at that point, it will be easy to beat them. But trolls aren’t limited to these zones alone. You will find them as early as The Mines, and they even spawn in the Gnomish Mines. Once you reach level 2 and beyond, your chances of finding Trolls will increase.
How to Beat Trolls

Trolls are the easiest of the enemies to beat, since they are quite slow and lack perception of your location. It’s quite easy to sneak up behind them and hit them a few times before running away and trying again. Very early on, it could be challenging to beat them as a melee player. But ranged players and casters can easily shoot at Trolls from a distance and deal damage.
I found it easier to run around them and continue my exploration rather than facing them. Hence, it is recommended to just avoid them instead of wasting resources in trying to take them down. But if you do manage to take down the Troll, then you can claim an assortment of special items as drops. Weapons like the bow, tomahawk, and throwing knives can easily tear down Trolls in the early game. Or you can use elemental spells and traps to cause damage.
In a group, it is much easier to take the Troll down. You could lure the Troll and block its attacks while the others hit it. Warriors, Sextons, or Mage classes will work great against Trolls, especially if you wish to attack from a distance or use the hit and run method. If you are a Shaman, take on the Troll form and recruit any wandering Troll to your cause.
