Key Points
- You must collect four hidden flute parts (Mouthpiece, Yellow, Red, Blue) during runs to unlock the Flute, which allows you to play special melodies with unique perks.
- Each melody requires a mix of short (tap) and long (hold) notes, and can only be used once per run, making timing important.
- There are four secret melodies found through puzzles, interactions, and even the Steam page, each granting powerful effects.
The full version of Sol Cesto is finally out, with many new additions and puzzles to the game. One such addition is the Flute, which grants the player special perks if the correct melody is played. If you are also looking to unlock these perks, read below.
How to Unlock Flute in Sol Cesto

Before you play melodies in Sol Cesto, you first need to unlock the flute. The game does not provide you with one from the start. But rather, you need to collect four parts of the flute to complete it. The four parts are:
- Mouthpiece
- Yellow piece
- Red piece
- Blue piece
Once you collect all four parts, a message will pop up stating, “Your Flute is now complete!” The flute will also appear on the top right part of the screen, where you can access it.
Do note that the pieces are not found in the normal shop. You have to interact with different items during the hidden run to obtain it. Also, the flute is limited to one effect per run, so you cannot spam melodies whenever you like.
There are two types of notes you can play via the Flute: a short one and a long one. The short notes are represented by small birds and played by a single click on the Flute. Longer notes are represented by bigger birds visually on your screen, and you need to click and hold for 1 second to play them.
For example, if you have to play a longer blue note, a big blue bird will be present on your screen, and you need to long-click on the blue piece of the flute. Below, I have mentioned each flute melody for you along with its location and its perk.
Flute Melody Location # 1 | Melody Trapped Inside a Box

This is one of the first melodies you will encounter. As soon as you complete the Flute, a mystery box will appear in the shop. Once you open this box, the following melody will appear on the screen:
- Long Red note
- Long Red note
- Short Red note
- Short Blue note
- Short Yellow note
If you play this melody correctly, it will send your money back to camp for the current run. Meaning you keep that amount with you for the later rounds.
Flute Melody Location # 2 | Melody Carved in the Bark

To unlock the second melody, you need to drop an ice cube at the pond where you got the mouthpiece. Once frozen, a pattern of gems will appear on the bark of the tree, which will translate to the following melody:
- Long Yellow note
- Short Red note
- Short Blue note
- Long Red note
- Long Blue note
This is a perk I definitely use often. It provides you with a better healing session than other ways.
Flute Melody Location # 3 | Melody Familiar to the Blacksmith

To unlock this melody, you need to collect a candle that will appear in the shop. After that, you need to go to the blacksmith’s upgrade room and use it. It will briefly illuminate the room, revealing a melody pattern in the top middle of the screen. It goes like:
- Short Blue note
- Long Red note
- Short Blue note
- Long Red note
- Short Yellow note
Using this melody has an interesting effect. When played, it will swap your Magic and Physical attack stats for that specific room.
Flute Melody Location # 4 | Melody Beyond the Worlds

The final melody location is not present inside the game, but rather on the Steam page of the game. If you scroll down on the Sol Cesto Steam page, you will find the following melody:
- Short Blue note
- Short Red note
- Long Yellow note
- Long Blue note
- Long Yellow note
This melody works on your shop screen in-game. When played, the shopkeeper grants you fifty percent off on all items for that run. But you can only use it once per run.
