Crimson Desert – How to Plant Bombs (Flame of Helmara Quest)

While picking up all the faction quests in Crimson Desert, you will encounter some quests after entering certain areas. If you have ventured out to the northwestern section of the world map, you might find a strange quest as you set foot in Helmara. ​

​How to Complete the Flame of Helmara Quest​

Under the Lords of the Unclaimed Land faction quest, you will get a quest called When the Trembling Stops. This will take you to the Flame of Helmara side quest, where you need to liberate Helmara by planting bombs around the Helms’ workshop. I found this quest while making my way to Tashkalp in Crimson Desert. If you can’t find the workshop here, tracking the quest by selecting it from the quest menu also helps.​

Find the Bomb in a Pile of Scrap​

While facing the workshop entrance, walk to the left side behind the flight of stairs. Walk up the pile of debris to your right and rummage around the scrap pile until you get an indicator to pick up a bomb. ​

Plant the Bomb in the First Location​

Walk back to the workshop entrance and enter the alleyway on the left. On the first right behind the pillar, step up to the wall to get a Plant Bomb interaction. After placing the bomb, return to the scrap pile to pick up your second bomb.​

Plant the Bomb in the Second Location​

This time, walk back to the workshop entrance and enter the alleyway to the right. Plant the bomb on the wall behind the first pillar, similar to the first location. ​

Move to a Safe Location​

All you have to do now is get as far away from the workshop as you can. The easiest way I found to create distance between me and the workshop is to grapple up the mountain around the workshop area and get to the top. Once you are a safe distance away, a cutscene showing the workshop being blown up will be triggered automatically. ​

Defeat the Helms at Helmara​

For the last step of the quest, head southeast of Hernand, just west of Anvil Hill. Find the Helm camp within the marked location and defeat them all. Upon clearing the area, you will complete the Flame of Helmara quest.​

What rewards will I get for completing the quest?​

You will get Tashkalpan +100 reputation points as your reward.​

Do I have to defeat the Helms first before picking up the bombs?​

It’s not necessary to defeat the Helms first, but if you are unable to find any bombs near the workshop, clear the Helm camp first, then return to the area to check for bombs.

I can’t find the Helms camp. What do I do?

Restarting the game will respawn the Helms camp in Hernand.
