Key Points
- Unlock the crafting path by completing Chapter 7 and progressing the Witch faction questline.
- Restore both Sanctum of Solace and Sanctum of Absolution to get the required blueprints.
- Craft the base Kuku Spear first, then upgrade it using rare materials like Bismuth Ore and Small Batteries.
The Kuku Bismuth Spear is easily one of the most satisfying weapons I’ve used in Crimson Desert. It takes some effort to unlock, but once you get it, the difference in combat flow is night and day. If you’re willing to explore, solve sanctums, and grind a bit, this spear is absolutely worth it.

How to Get the Bismuth Spear

Before you start anything, you need to get the base weapon first. To get your hands on the Bismuth Spear, there are two methods. Both methods are easy, as one requires you to find it directly, while another goes through a questline. If you want to pick up the weapon directly, head over to the Well of Enlightenment south of the Forebearer’s Barrens. Check out the map above to know where to go.

You would have been to this location if you helped the villagers clean the solar panels. In this location, make your way to the large central well and explore an enclosure beside it. This area will just have four walls and a doorway, but no roof. You will find some wooden barrels and ruins inside, and right in the middle is a Bismuth Spear.
The second method is to complete Dispatch Missions at the Well of Enlightenment to farm Bismuth Spears. For this, you need to clear the Chapter 9 – Sage of the Desert quest to unlock the dispatch missions.
Tip: Before leaving the area, I recommend heading into the Forebearer’s Barrens and defeat the box-like enemies to farm Bismuth Ores.
How To Get the Kuku Bismuth Spear Blueprint

Before you craft the spear, you need to get the blueprint first. Start off by completing Chapter 7 in Story mode to get the quest from the Witch of Kindness. If you have done so, follow the steps given below:
- Head toward the Silver Mountains area in Pailune and locate the Witch of Kindness. Interacting with her unlocks the Witch faction questline, which is tied to the spear blueprints.
- Next, head over to the Sanctum of Solace, also located in Pailune. Do keep your best weapons handy, as there will be a lot of enemies and a boss fight.
- There will also be a few puzzles on the way, but upon completing the Sanctum of Solace, you will be rewarded with the blueprint for the Kuku Bismuth Spear.
- Similarly, you need to clear the Sanctum of Absolution. There will be enemies, puzzles, and a final boss fight. Following all this, you will get the blueprint for Kuku Spear. You will require the Kuku Spear as one of the core materials to craft the Kuku Bismuth Spear.
How to Craft the Kuku Bismuth Spear

- First, collect the rest of the materials required for the crafting. I have already mentioned how to get Bismuth Ore earlier, so all that’s left is the Small Battery. Head to Delesyia to farm mech enemies for small batteries.
- To craft the Kuku Bismuth Spear, head over to Grimnir’s Kuku Shop, located in the west of Hernand, near Kilnden Workshop. This is the only place where Kuku weapons can be crafted.
- First Craft a Kuku Spear. Then select the Kuku Bismuth Spear blueprint in the menu. Combine the Kuku Spear with 4x Bismuth Ore, 10x Small Battery, and the base Bismuth Spear to craft the Kuku Bismuth Spear.
Once crafted, the Kuku Bismuth Spear becomes a durable weapon with enhanced effects. The stacking Bismuth debuff alone makes it insane for longer fights. I noticed bosses slowing down significantly after a few hits.
