Key Points
- Mysterious Feathers in Pokémon Pokopia refer to Rainbow Feathers and Silver Feathers dropped by legendary Pokémon.
- Ho-Oh drops Rainbow Feathers, while Lugia drops Silver Feathers, each with unique map indicators.
- These feathers are mainly used for Daily Challenges and trading for furniture with Gimmighoul later in the game.
While exploring Pokopia, you must have heard a loud roar in the sky. These roars are from legendary flying Pokémons like Ho-Oh and Lugia. They drop Mysterious Feathers, which have their uses in-game. If you want to learn more about it, read below.

How to get Mysterious Feathers in Pokémon Pokopia

Before you can collect a Mysterious Feather, you first need to wait for Ho-Oh or Lugia to fly across the sky. The game gives a clear audio cue when this happens. I recommend increasing your in-game audio to listen better. Follow these steps to obtain them:
- As soon as you hear the roar in-game, look up towards the sky to spot either Ho-Oh or Lugia. Do keep in mind to check the direction in which they are flying, too.
- Once the legendary passes by, a special environmental marker will appear somewhere on the map. I try to follow them to quickly see where the feathers are dropping.
- When you reach the location, see whether smoke is rising or a tornado is there. Smoke rising into the sky means a Rainbow Feather has dropped. A tornado means a Silver Feather has appeared.
- For Rainbow Feathers, use the Water Gun to extinguish the flames before picking it up. As for Silver Feathers, use the Cut action on the tornado to disperse it.
After following these steps, you can collect the feather to store in the inventory. These feathers are useful for in-game trades and daily challenges.

How to use Mysterious Feathers in Pokémon Pokopia

As of now, I found only two places where you can use the Rainbow or Silver feathers. The first one is the common use, where you get a Daily Challenge of gathering one mysterious feather. Both Rainbow and Silver Feathers count towards this challenge, even though the challenge icon usually shows a Rainbow Feather. Completing it rewards players with 200 Coins.
The other use I found for the mysterious feathers was with Gimmighoul. Later in the game, when you reach Rocky Ridges, you can find the ruins of a museum in the northern part of the area. Inside the building, you’ll meet a Gimmighoul who asks for a Rainbow Feather the first time you interact with it.
After completing this request, you can trade Rainbow or Silver Feathers, along with appraised relics. In return, Gimmighoul gives you random furniture items, which can be used to decorate habitats or areas in your base.
FAQs
How often do Ho-Oh and Lugia appear in Pokémon Pokopia?
Their flyovers are random events that occur while exploring the map, so you may need to play for a while before spotting one.
Can multiple feathers spawn during one flyover event?
Typically, only one feather drops per flyover, but the exact location varies each time.
Can you collect Mysterious Feathers without Water Gun or Cut?
No. Each feather type requires a specific move to clear the environmental obstacle before it can be collected. You won’t be able to collect feathers before that, and the environmental obstacles will damage you.
