Marathon’s Server Slam is now online for free, and players are rushing in to play. However, many are getting stuck on how to scan the FTL Array at any USEC Radio Tower, which is one of the early quests you get in the game. Read on below to learn how to complete it.
How To Scan FTL Array at UESC Radio Tower in Marathon
But before trying to complete this quest, make sure the Welcome to Tau Ceti contract is set as your active contract, as you can only keep one active at a time. Then, follow the steps given below:
- Head over to Station on the Perimeter map at the location shown in the image above.
- At the location, you’ll notice a long orange platform with large tubes of wires attached to it.
- Go to the edge of that platform, and you will find a staircase to go to the top.
- You’ll find a blue colored tower at that location. This is your UESC Radio Tower.
- Interact with the UESC Radio Tower, and a tray will open up, asking you to scan the FTL Comms Chip. This process will take 10-15 seconds.
Once completed, it will mark the scan FTL Array quest as complete.

Yes, you first need to defeat three UESC bots and then scan the UESC tower to complete the mission.
What happens if I fail the scan or get eliminated during the process?
If you die or extract before the scan completes, the contract mission objective won’t be marked as finished. You’ll need to restart the run with the contract still active and return to the tower to complete the scan.
