Bow and arrows can be crafted early on in the game with very few resource investments. You don’t need to set up any special machine or station to make a bow; just head to the crafting section to make one. Arrows, on the other hand, can be made in many ways, from crafting and via the Crafting Station.
Getting a Bow
While you can find a bow by looting any containers found in many houses in the world, you can craft a simple bow early on without needing any expensive resources.
You will need x2 Wood/ x5 Fibers/ x5 Sticks to build a Wood Bow.
I will recommend crafting a bow, since it will count towards the bow-related skill challenge.

Getting Arrows
Arrows, just like bows, can be obtained by looting containers or crafted early on in the game.
Improvised Arrow: x1 Wood/ x1 Stone/ and x1 Fibers to make an Improvised Arrow.
Arrows: You can build common arrows by spending 1x Wood at the Crafting Bench.
Same as bows, I will recommend crafting arrows so you will meet the necessary requirement for bow-related skills.
Upgrading Bow-related Skills
You can find the bow-related Skills under the Skills section. Here are the challenges you must complete to unlock the skill tree for bows.
- Craft a bow: A single bow of any kind.
- Craft arrows: Any arrow type.
- Kill enemies with a bow: You must kill 25 zombies or zeeks with your bow.
By spending x2 Woods, you can make about x5 arrows; we are looking at 25 arrows per 10 Woods. Another highlight of bows, once you fire the bow, you can retrieve the arrow by looting it back from the zombie’s corpse, or just straight from the ground. In a way, you will never run out of arrows.
