How to Get Clay in Windrose

You will find clay very early in the game, on your starter island. While checking the ground, look for large, lumpy dirt mounds between the grass and sandy area near the coastal section of the island. If still doubtful, I found that walking up to the dirt mound and stepping on it helps me identify whether I have found clay or not. To gather clay, you will require a stone pickaxe to mine it out.
How to Use Clay
Clay is used to craft various early game structures like the Disassembly Table, Furnace, and Klin. You will require clay to make clay pots and clay bottles to store and cook food in. You can find the structures and items that require clay by heading into the Building Panel and selecting the Crafting and Utilities option.
