How to Get the Masked Troupe Sect Invitation

There are two ways to get the invitation to join the Masked Troupe sect:

• The first method is to speak to Han Yanluo at Kaifeng’s Fairgrounds. From the East Cross Street boundary stone, head west towards the river and jump on the boat. Speak to Han Yanluo and pick any dialog option. Speak to her again and accept the invitation, and return to her after gaining popularity to join.
• Another way to get the Masked Troupe invitation is to participate in the Windtail Jianghu’s All As One event. Completing one of the event quests will give you an invitation. Visit the Weeping Makeup NPC to the west of the Starfall Spring boundary stone, Qinghe, after gaining popularity to join the sect.

How to Join the Masked Troupe

Your quest to join the Masked Troupe doesn’t end there. After accepting the invitation, you are now tasked with gaining popularity to properly join the sect. To gain popularity, you need to get Likes from other players in Online mode. There are two ways to gain popularity:

• You can perform a dance or play an instrument by selecting an emote under the Talents tab.
• Uploading photos of your character wearing intricate costumes, makeup, and posing against aesthetically pleasing backgrounds will also help garner popularity.

If you are going for the first option, you need to find an area populated by other players, then perform your chosen talent for Likes. To upload photos, while changing your character’s appearance, select the Upload to Gallery option at the bottom of the menu for other players to like them.

Another, less popular but easier way to join the Masked Troupe is to join their competitor, the Velvet Shade, and wait for an invitation from one of the members.

How to Leave The Masked Troupe

Open up your profile and select the Sect option. In the Sect menu, look down to find the Betray Master option. The next steps follow the same format as leaving any other Sect in the game. You have to complete the Perception Forest Severance Trial to completely leave the Masked Troupe.
