Collectible #1: News Clippings (Document)
The first collectible in Fatal Frame 2 Remake Chapter 1 is at the front of the Minakami Village Osaka House, as shown in the image above. Head to the first floor, during the objective “Investigate the house” to find the News Clippings, your first Document in the game. This Document tells the search efforts for Masumi Makimura, a missing geological surveyor.
Collectible #2: Woman’s Notebook 1 (Document)
The second collectible is another Document, located inside the Osaka House Sunken Hearth Room. Similar to the previous collectible, you’ll encounter this one during the “Investigate the house” objective. Head inside the Sunken Hearth Room, and you’ll find this collectible to the left.
Collectible #3: Woman’s Notebook 2 (Document)
Inside the same Sunken Hearth Room in the Osaka House, you’ll find this collectible to the right. Head to the bed on the right from the first Woman’s Notebook to find the second notebook on the ground. These notebooks belong to a woman who wandered into Minakami Village and discusses the stories around the location.
Collectible #4: Woman’s Notebook 3 (Document)
The fourth collectible is the next entry in the Woman’s Notebook Document series, located inside the Osaka House Kimono Room in Fatal Frame 2 Remake. On the first floor, head to the room located opposite the lantern to find Woman’s Notebook 3 near some crates.
Collectible #5: Woman’s Notebook 4 (Document)
The fifth collectible in Fatal Frame 2 Remake Chapter 1 is yet another Woman’s Notebook, and you find it inside a previously inaccessible part of the Osaka House Sunken Hearth Room. Head to the location as shown in the image above, past the white curtain and collect Woman’s Notebook 4 inside a shaft to the right. You need to crouch to collect it.
Collectible #6: Camera Obscura Memo (Document)
Head to the Osaka House Dirt Hallway, as shown in the image above, to open the Myoga Motif padlock with the key of the same name and access the Osaka House’s altar room. As soon as you enter the room, you’ll find the Camera Obscura Memo near some drawers. This Memo contains the functionalities of the Camera Obscura in Fatal Frame 2 Remake.
Collectible #7: The Wanderer – Wraith (Spirit)
The first Spirit in Fatal Frame 2 Remake is located in the Osaka House Altar Room. After you collect the Camera Obscura Memo, open the door on the left to capture your first Spirit. Be warned, there’s a huge jump scare when you open the door, so stay prepared.
Collectible #8: Twin Dolls (Spirit)
Now that you have the Camera Obscura with you, return to the Osaka House Kimono Room and use it to capture the Twin Dolls Spirit, located to the left of the room, as shown in the image above.
Collectible #9: Woman Roaming Second Floor – Specter (Spirit)
The third Spirit in Fatal Frame 2 Remake is found inside the Osaka House Sunken Hearth Room during the objective “Leave the house”. From the first floor, open the Camera Obscura and aim at the second floor to find the Spirit. Mayu will point to the Spirit to help you capture it.
Collectible #10: Woman’s Notebook 5 (Document)
Inside the Osaka House Sunken Hearth Room, head to the first floor via the stairs on the left, as shown in the image above, to find the Woman’s Notebook 5 in Fatal Frame 2 Remake. This is doable during the objective “Follow the woman’s shadow”.
Collectible #11: Beckoning Woman – Specter (Spirit)
The final Spirit in Fatal Frame 2 Remake’s Chapter 1 is located on the second floor of the Osaka House, accessible through the Sunken Hearth Room. After you obtain the Woman’s Notebook 5, walk straight and open the door to your left. Inside the room, you’ll find the Beckoning Woman. Pull out your Camera Obscura and capture it.
