Escape from Tarkov’s Duck Hunt event turns the extraction shooter into a scavenger hunt with a twist. As part of a crossover collaboration, players are tasked with tracking down hidden toy ducks scattered across multiple maps. While the mission sounds simple, many ducks are placed in hard-to-reach places.

Duck Hunt is available in both PvE and PvP modes and can be accepted at any level. Progress carries over between raids, so you don’t need to find every duck in a single run. Do note that there are no ducks on the Streets of Tarkov or The Lab. The challenge lies in how cleverly the ducks are hidden, often high above ground or tucked into structures players rarely look at.

Duck Hunt Quest Tips

• Use a headset – Ducks emit a faint quacking sound when nearby.
• Check elevated spots first – Rooftops, cranes, watchtowers, rafters, and ledges are common placements.
• Bring a scoped weapon – Many ducks can be shot from a distance.
• Run night raids – Lower ambient noise makes quacking easier to hear.
• Farm food-heavy areas for Duck Pate – Goshan shelves, ration crates, sports bags, ground caches, buried barrels, and dead Scavs are reliable sources.
• Don’t rush high-traffic areas – Some ducks are in PvP hotspots like Resort and Dorms.

All Customs Duck Locations

You can find all ten ducks in Customs at the locations marked on the map above. There will be a faint quacking sound when you are near a duck at these locations.

All Shoreline Duck Locations

All ten ducks in Shoreline can be found at these locations. Prepare your ears to hear a quacking sound at these locations.

All Woods Duck Locations

All ten ducks in Woods can be found at these locations marked in the image above.

All Ground Zero Duck Locations

The ducks in Ground Zero can be found at the location above.

All Interchange Duck Locations

The ten ducks in Interchage are scattered on the ground floor, parking, and first floor of the map. Thus locating them sometimes can be a hassle.

All Reserve Duck Locations

Out of the ten ducks on, nine can be found on the ground as shown in the image above. However, one duck is hidden underground in the south bunkers.

All Factory Duck Locations

Do note that there are only nine ducks in the Factory. Of those nine, two are on the top floor, one on the middle floor, three on the ground floor, and three in the tunnels, as shown in the image above.

Where to Find Duck Pate in Escape From Tark

In addition to hunting down all 69 toy ducks, you’ll need to hand over 15 cans of Duck Pate to Jaeger to complete the quest. Unlike the ducks, Pate is not tied to specific maps and can spawn anywhere standard food items appear. Duck Pate is treated as regular food loot, meaning you can find it in:

• Food crates
• Ration supply crates
• Sports bags
• Plastic suitcases
• Ground caches
• Buried barrel caches
• Dead Scavs
• Goshan shelves (Interchange)

If you’re targeting Pate specifically, Interchange is one of the most efficient farming locations due to Goshan’s high concentration of food spawns. Running stash routes on maps like Woods or Shoreline can also yield steady results thanks to buried caches.

How long does the Duck Hunt quest take to complete?

Completion time varies depending on map knowledge and PvP encounters. Players familiar with vertical loot spots can finish significantly faster than those exploring blindly.

Does shooting ducks alert other players?

Ducks do not trigger special map-wide alerts, but gunfire will still attract nearby players like normal. Using suppressed weapons is recommended.

Can Duck Pate be crafted in the Hideout?

No, Duck Pate must be found in a raid. It spawns like regular food loot in containers and on Scavs.
