At first glance, the Treasure Beneath the Pond mission in Arknights: Endfield seems pretty straightforward – you just need to drain the water in the pond. However, it becomes a hard task once you see how much water you have to drain, along with solving the puzzles for the treasure. But don’t worry, as in this guide, we will detail how you can drain the water efficiently.
Arknights: Endfield Treasure Beneath the Pond Overview

| Mission Location | Tianjing Courtyard in Wuling City |
| Mission Objective | Drain the pond’s water to gather treasure |

The Treasure Beneath the Pond mission starts when you interact with an NPC at the mission location. He gives you directives to drain the pond water to uncover treasures. As you start draining water, you’ll encounter a new puzzle every 10,000 units of water, with a total of 40,000 units of water to drain.
How To Drain Water in Arknights: Endfield?

Before you attempt to tackle this mission, you need to prepare multiple pieces of equipment to bring along. Having a Fluid Pump is the most crucial part of this mission, and they require 10x Ferrium Parts to construct. Construct at least 4-5 pumps to drain water more quickly.
Another requirement for this mission is Fluid Tanks, as you need to store the drained water somewhere. It can be built using 5x Ferrium Parts. Do note that you would need around 80 tanks to completely drain the pond. The final requirements to construct are a power supply, Pylons and pipes.
Once you have all these items constructed, you just need to head over to the mission location and set up a water-draining circuit. If you have ample materials, place multiple Fluid Pumps at the edge of the lake.
Then place multiple Fluid Tanks in a line from the Fluid Pump while spacing out one block to install pipes. Finally, connect this whole system with pipes to have water flow and a Pylon to have electricity to power this circuit.

If you do not have ample materials to spare, a trick you can use is to recycle the Fluid Tanks. In this process, let the Fluid Tanks you have built get filled with water. Once full, enter Build mode and use Stash mode (X key) to take off the full Fluid Tanks. When you place them back in the circuit, you’ll notice you will be able to fill them again.
Once your lake has dried up, you’ll encounter multiple small red turbines inside the lake. You need to turn them in order to open doorways inside the lake. To do so, try to find crates inside the lake containing water bottles. Once collected, press the R key to switch to Spray mode. Now, whenever you spot a turbine, use Spray mode to turn it.

FAQs
How long does it take to drain the pond in Treasure Beneath the Pond?
With 4–5 Fluid Pumps, draining the pond can be completed significantly faster than using a single pump.
Do puzzles reset if you leave the mission area?
No. Puzzle progress tied to water levels remains saved, so you can safely leave to gather materials or rebuild your setup without losing progress.
Can you drain the pond with fewer Fluid Tanks?
Yes. You can reuse Fluid Tanks by stashing them once full and placing them back into the circuit, allowing you to drain the pond without crafting many tanks at once.
