Key Points
- Owning a property is an essential aspect to place a roof over your Para-family’s heads.
- If you have multiple properties, you can shift multiple Paras into them or sell some of the houses.
- To move into a new home, you need to have all the essential furniture in place first.
Like most life-sim games, you need to get your Paras a home in Paralives. This step is the most important one in the game, as leaving your Paras homeless will have them perish and cease to exist. There are several steps to owning a home, including purchasing one, selling existing homes, and planning the move to the new place.

How to Buy a House

Buying a home for your Para to live in is quite an easy process. All you need to do is first get a good overview of your town map by zooming out. After that, check for blue house icons on top of the various buildings. They will also have a For Sale notice on them. Click on it to show the price of the house. Each house will have varying prices, so go through each one to see what fits your budget.
Another, more tedious way to get a house is to find an empty lot. Again, like houses, each plot will have varying prices. Once you purchase a lot, you need to use the Build mode and create a house from scratch. This will require placing floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, landscaping, and more. Or you can use the Library function after purchasing a plot to place any pre-existing design.
I preferred buying a pre-made house over buying a plot to save the cost of creating a house from scratch. But if you like the home designs in the Library, then buying a plot will help with personal customization.
How to Move Houses

Now that you have your new home up and ready, your next task is to make your Para move in. You need to place some furniture in the house first, then zoom into a room and select the furniture item. Suppose you have selected the couch, you will get an option to sit on it. Select this option and your Para will walk right over and make themselves at home.
To make your Para move in permanently, you need to place the essentials in your new home, like a bed, kitchen appliances, and other furniture items. Have the Para sleep on the new bed, after which they will consider the new place as their home.
If you have multiple members and you wish to move all of them into a new home, then you need to have them interact with the furniture inside the new home, and each should have their own bed for them to effectively move in.
How to Sell Houses

If you wish to sell an existing house, the process is the same as buying it. Zoom out on the town map and select a house that you wish to sell. You can only sell houses that are in your name, and only after they have been vacated. Once sold, the house will belong to someone else, including the furniture inside. But you need to have another home for your Para from your previous house to move into.
How to Split a Household
If you own a multi-Para household, you can split up some of the people into a new home. First, select the existing household to get a list of all the members residing there. Next, scroll through the blue icons below their picture to find the Split Household option.
In the new menu, divide the people whom you wish to move out of the current home and add some Paradimes to their accounts. Once confirmed, purchase a new house and move your new occupants into it. You can also choose not to purchase a home for them and leave them stranded; the choice is yours.
Sell or Keep Houses?
If you own multiple properties, then the question that you will face is whether you should sell or keep all the houses. This entirely depends on your current bank balance and the number of Paras you are taking care of. If you are short of cash, selling a house or two will help replenish your Paradimes.
But if you have multiple people staying under one roof, then splitting them up to occupy other houses will benefit you. Splitting helps segregate families with grown children, couples who have grown apart, or roommates who need different spaces.

Yes, to steal someone’s home, gain control of their household by selecting their house and clicking on the sell button. You can then purchase it under your preferred family name, or keep the money from the sale for yourself.
