Forza Horizon 6 – How to Get Great Speed Skill

By Kirthana KMay 23, 20264 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • Aim for a speed over 241 km/h or 150 m/h to earn the Great Speed Skill.
    • To complete the Floor It challenge, you need to pick the right cars that will offer this speed.
    • There are several Speed Skill challenges that have different speed requirements.

If you are having a hard time trying to win the Floor It challenge in Forza Horizon 6, then you might need to re-examine the cars chosen for the challenge. With the right type of car, you can achieve the speed requirements for the Great Speed Skill and beyond.

The only way to get the Great Speed skill is to participate in the Horizon Play challenges. If you haven’t unlocked the challenge page yet, head over to the Online tab in the game’s main menu and select the Horizon Play option. You will see plenty of challenge options here, but what you need to look out for is the Horizon Racing challenge.

Unfortunately, you will be put in a queue, so what I would like to do is head over to the Festival Playlist and scroll through the options until you find the Horizon Play Floor It challenge. And while you will still be in the queue after loading in, you won’t have to wait too long in the lobby.

    Floor It Horizon Play Preparation

Now, the next task is to aim for the Great Speed Skill’s requirement, which is to push the speed of your car beyond 241 km/h or 150 m/h. I found the best cars for this task are either the Lamborghini Revulto or Centenario, the McLaren P1, or the Ferrari F40. Any B-class, C-class, or S2-class cars are recommended for the task, but do avoid A-class and S1-class cars.

The next task is to pick the most suitable race where your main goal is to speed through. Personally, I avoided online races that involved more A-class and S1-class car competition and rallies, since they won’t help me achieve the speed requirement.

    Completing the Challenge

Another quick tip is to avoid hitting the brakes for more than 5 seconds, as this has a chance to reset the speed counter. You need to keep a steady speed of 150 m/h for more than 10 seconds to qualify for the Speed Skill.

Personally, as soon as I loaded a race, I made a beehive for the Tokyo City highway to keep my car at a steady pace. This helped surpass the Great Speed Skill and also achieve the Awesome and Ultimate speed skills, too.

    FAQs

What rewards can I claim for completing the Floor It Horizon Play challenge?

You can claim the F-150 SVT Lightning 2003 Ford for winning the challenge.

What are the requirements to meet the Awesome and Ultimate Speed Skills?

You need to reach 175 m/h or 280 km/h to unlock the Awesome Speed Skill, and for the Ultimate Speed Skill, you need to reach 200 m/h or 320 km/h.

I can’t find the right race to join. What do I do?

Some players found that waiting inside lobbies between games while having an S1 or S2 helped get into the right race or win the challenge automatically.
